  • Who is Elian?

  • In 1999 Elian was a 6-year-old boy in Cuba. His parents were divorced with joint custody, In December his mother and her boyfriend had him and left Cuba for Miami on an old boat which sank. They put Elian out in an inner tube and 2 days later he was rescued by a Castro-hating Miami Cuban. Miami Cubans held him captive for several months and tried to use him as a propaganda instrument. Finally the INS moved in and rescued him and Elian was returned to his father and taken back to Cuba.

  • Dear Michael Philip Wright,

Your performance in support of a totalitarian regime is fantastically convincing.

Do you have any performances where you croon among the wheatfields of Ukraine in support of Stalin's Holodomor or you could put on a Kimono and use a backdrop of a field of skulls to deliver a rousing musical number defending Pol Pot.

That's just one of the many places you can go. Aside from Cuba that is.

  • I see. Elian Gonzalez was to be blamed for whatever happened in the Ukraine. You Castro-haters make a lot of sense. Too bad for you. Obama will be ending the embargo soon and then I'll do exactly that. I'll go to Cuba and hang out on the beaches and drink their fine rum. I just hope the Cubans don't get conned into letting Wall Mart come in and ruin their country. Your silly "performance" is "fantastically" unconvincing. I can see that you are in deep pain.

  • BULLETIN: Thaw in US-Cuba relations is under way.

See the news link in my text box.

Too bad, gusanos. Your day is over !

You have wasted your lives !

  • no freedom of speech? typical

  • You don't have a clue what freedom of speech means, fool. Freedom of speech does not mean I have to let any damn fool come into my house and spew his propaganda. You are free to get your own video forum and blabber imperialist propaganda to your heart's content. I won't be there to bother you.

  • (Gusanos can't hide from reality) ---> CUBA under the Dictator Batista:

    - Americans owned 70 % of the arable land

    - 1% of the population controlled 46 % of the wealth

    - Batista's goons and secret police killed 20,000 Cubans (tortured even more)

    - 67 % of the population were illiterate

    - 50 % of the population lived in Bohio shacks

  • Cuba Libre!!!!!! Free Cuba!!!!!abajo fidel!!!!!

Que Viva Los Cubanos De Miami!!!!!! Freedom!!!!!! Democracy!!!!! Capitalism!!!!!

Cuba Will be the 51st state of The United States Of America!!!!! Que Viva Miami!!!!

  • Abajo con los gusanos. Que se acabe el embargo.

  • Cuba can trade with the US for food and medicine, even the Granma buys paper from the US. Those embarrasment (The Diaz Balarts) we call Congressmen in Miami take money from companies such as Walmart that do business with Cuba, on the other hand they preach how evil it is to visit Cuba, bunch of hypoctrits. Democracy is about respecting other points of views. If you do not want to go to Cuba, fine don't go, but who are you to tell this U.S. tax payer from Ok, that he can't go to Cuba?

  • i dont ge tit but che is awesome viva la revolucion(e)

  • While I supported reuniting the boy with his father, I find the "viva Che" thing disturbing. Che was a communist guerilla who assasinated people without trial. This isn't someone who people should look up to.

The fact that people have glorified him is something I'm sure he would've hated as well.

  • Che fought against imperialists. American colonists used to kill English soldiers "without trial." Were they any better? Che was murdered 41 years ago. What is to be gained by hating him today? Why not do something about the present and the future -- like ending the ridiculous embargo?

  • The colonials who partook in atrocities during our revolutionary war were no better. How Che's capture was handled, also an atrocity. He should've gone on trial in a court of Bolivian law. Hating him or loving him won't solve anything. Just look at the facts and decide if you think his messages were just. His ideology and that of far leftists would restrict this very conversation. Usted vive en Cuba?

  • Your hatred of Che Guevara is so deep that you are now condemning the American Revolution itself in order to sustain it. How strange. You continue to avoid the main issue, which is the embargo. Do you support the American imperialists' embargo against Cuba?

  • The Murderers are in MIAMI - TERRORISTS like Luis Posada Carriles ("South America's Bin Laden" who blew up Cubana Flight 455 in 1976), Orlando Bosch (his partner in crime), Felix Rodriguez (point man for Oliver North in Iran/Contra, trained central American death squads, ordered execution of Che Guevara), Alpha 66, Brigade 2506, etc -- Go to Versailles restaurant in Miami where these gusano assassins will be sitting at the best table.

  • abajo fidel!!!!!abajo con el communismo!!!!abajo con el socialismo!!!!Cuba Libre!!!!! Free Cuba!!!!!

  • This is a very hard topic. but my friend, did you ever stop to think that maybe elian's papi knew everthing about them leaving the island with the hope of going to miami after the boy becomes american?

you should ask the people that leave the contry why are they leaving , and not call them gusanos just like that.

  • You are suggesting that Juan Gonzalez might have been hoping to go to Miami himself. That idea is ludicrous. Gonzalez came to the USA to pick up his son after the INS finally freed him from the disgusting gusanos who had kidnapped him. After that the father and son went right back to Cuba. With their reprehensible behavior in this matter, the Miami Cubans proved that they deserve to be called GUSANOS.

  • La lucha sigue!!! es decir la lucha por la comida sigue!!!!

  • Los imperialistas estadounidenses han tratado de matar a Cuba de hambre por casi medio siglo con el embargo.

  • Viva la Revolucion Cubana!!

    M26-7 vive!!

    Malditos Gusanos Terroristas

  • ¡Arriba compañero, que Viva la revolución Cubana!

  • Your a Socialist that lives in Oklahoma, a prominent Red State. You trash our country because of what it stands for, when what it stands for gives you the ability to trash our country. We all have freedoms that allow us to achieve and acquire things at a faster rate than most nations, but we earned them collectively with the blood of our anscestors. We can't impose are will on other nations no matter how hard we try to allow the freedoms to extend to them. We can only be an influencing factor.

  • You're an idiot in such a frenzy that you cannot use the English language properly. I love to ridicule you fools for it.

Here's how to express your rage in proper English: "You're a Socialist who lives in Oklahoma..."

You say that I "trash" the country. How am I trashing America by protesting the kidnapping of a 6-year-old boy who only wanted to be united with his father? By saying that Oklahoma farmers should be able to sell wheat to Cuba? Obama will be lifting the embargo. Too bad for you.

  • Fuck you my dads a gusano! One day if all my cubans are down ima kill you people that assist Fidel shoot me your adress and i'll bury you man

  • You have just greeted me with a death threat. I guess I'll have to call this threat to the attention of the authorities at youtube.

You are wasting your time. I'm not going to take the video down because you don't like it.

Obama will be lifting the embargo against Cuba. He has no need for you Castro-haters. You gusanos have wasted your lives. You have lost. Learn to do something useful. Plant a garden.

  • Is Boren and his cronies behind the Embargo, obviously he must be since he was on the Intel Comm. in the Senate. What's the scoop Mr. Wright

  • The embargo against Cuba was enacted in 1962. At that time Boren was a student at Yale, where he was a member of Skull and Bones. See my video about this. Boren became a U.S. Senator in 1979, and always has supported the embargo. He might change his tune now, in hopes of attracting students from Cuba. Because of Boren, OU has become unaffordable to average-income Oklahoma families. To attend OU, students from these families either have to borrow heavily, work long hours, or both.

  • fuck you

  • Sometimes I'll leave the mindless vulgar hateful comments from you lovers of American imperialism online so the world will know what scumbags you are.

  • Makes no sense to trade with China and wall off Cuba. It's all about the money and it's disgusting.

  • Thank you for the comment. American wheat farmers would benefit from having the Cuban market. Cuba currently imports wheat from Canada and Europe. Think of all the fuel wasted by shipping this wheat over the ocean. In 2007 our trade deficit with China was more than $200 billion. It's more about Presidential candidates pleasing the Castro-hating Miami Cubans, who are a swing vote in Florida.

  • We seem to have a selective indigantion to Cummunism. American companies want that cheap product from China. We think of Cuba as a country filled with pre-1959 cars, but Russian and European imports fill the void that American cars had. We're cutting off our nose to spite our face to placate a small segment of people (You're right, by the way).

  • "American wheat farmers would benefit from having the Cuban market"

It is doubtful that Cuba with would have a significant impact on our economy from American exports of wheat to a place like Cuba.

The American wheat farmer is doing quite well thanks to the lucrative tax subsidies paid for by the Taxpayers.

"Think of all the fuel wasted by shipping this wheat over the ocean"

    Cuba is over the Ocean.

  • Yeah, but subsidies mean there's a problem that needs to be addressed.

  • sunstorm:

1 - Any market benefits from an expanded demand and Cuba is in no way "over the ocean" from us.

2 - The point you are contesting was that shipping from Canada to Cuba requires more fuel than from the US. Try getting a map and see how many crayons you can fit between Canada and Cuba, then do the same thing from the US to Cuba.

3 - Subsidies are an economic band-aid that generate long-term growth problems in a market if left in place for too long. The market should be expanded.

  • Hey I have to eat crappy tomatoes from Mexico and I live in California's Tomato capital. I'm forced to eat Tomatoes from Canada too. How is that saving fuel when the exact same produce made locally is shipped to another country? $4 a pound for Mexican when the local gets $1.50 when I can find it. NAFTA sucks.

  • Brought tears to my eyes.

  • I accidentally deleted a friendly comment while deleting a jerk's hostile statement. Feel free to post it again.

  • Amen. This is a masterwork.

  • Hauntingly beautiful. You are a true master of the mandolin, not to mention the blue-screen.
