Kiai is probably the most efficient self defence technique in the world but it is also the most difficult technique to learn and even more difficult to master. A lot of special forces do train ki-techniques but just simple ones.

So do you instruct kiai as well or are you just a student? If you are an instruct do you enjoying taking the hard earned money of your students and in returning teaching them absolutely useless "self defense" techniques? If you are a student do you enjoy giving your hard earned money to a fraud who pretends to teach you self defense and all the while is teaching you magical foolishness?

@Plato86 I am not an instructor yet but I aspire to be one some day. It is going to take a lot of work though.
Kiai is probably the most efficient self defence technique in the world but it is also the most difficult technique to learn and even more difficult to master. A lot of special forces do train ki-techniques but just simple ones.
Your critique is very common for those who just see youtubevideos and dont experience it themselves. You are condemning something you know very little about.

I do recommend you to take a couple of classes of Kiai to understand what its all about. Make sure you go to a serious dojo though! :)

@StealthDonkey007 Just because there is no legislation concerning Kiai it doesn't mean it doesn't work. Remember, anybody could learn how to handle a gun within minutes...to master Kiai it takes years.
