  • I think this exercise screwed up my ability to keep my purse on my shoulder. I have more of a slope than I used too....like you.

    This problem annoys me every time I try to carry a shoulder bag. And carrying bags on my arm is really annoying.

    There has to be a better way to get fit than to enlarge that muscle where the shoulder meets the neck.

  • Thanks for posting. I think you are helping many out there. I would only suggest that you learn to raise the shoulders. If your shoulders are sloping, it is desired to raise them. If not you may not be allowing enough air into the lungs. Besides, it looks better to have shoulders within 2 or 3 inchesof the chin level. Lengthen the spine, free the neck. Balance the head a top the shoulders,ears above the shoulders. The sternocleidomastoids will help to pull up the clavicle and the chest.

  • Thanks for the tips...I'll be doing it everyday to see if it relieves my neck and shoulders spasm, it really hurts.

  • dont do it everyday you need to let your body re grow and rest, you will see better results if you do it 3 times a week rather than your every day!

  • Thanks for the response csengeri... BTW, it's good to see that you are using light weights as I often see people using weights that are far too heavy to get the proper benefit from the exercise involved. =)

  • When you are working on your biceps you should use 20-30 pounds, easier weights (10-20) should be used for shoulders.
