The former violates the 1st, 4th and 5th Amendments at several points, and the latter violates the 10th Amendment by federalizing the policing powers of the states.

I've studied the Constitution denalaurens, particularly the part about needing a CONGRESSIONAL DECLARATION in order for a war to be constitutional. Tell me, did either Iraq or Afghanistan get a congressional declaration? Nope, didn't think so.
Uhh, the President has the power and authority to declare war without Congress, but it was Congress and then-Prez Clinton who stated the need to go to war with Iraq and who stated that Iraq had WMD and capabilities of using it. Read further into the Constitution.

The president has the ability to make war for a period of 3 months without congressional approval, and that is only if there is an imminent threat to domestic security. We have never gone to war for selfish reasons, which the constitution states, but for the aid of our neighbors and for protection. But Bush didn't declare war on his own. Congress voted for it and voted on the amount of money to appropriate for it. Work on reading history.

Granted, the Constitution itself is inherently subjective in many ways, which I find very problematic. Power being reserved to "The People" is a subjective and collectivist view of both morality and government. If the masses are asses, as they often are, "power to the people" can be the most overrated thing in the world, much like patriotism can be when you've lost a limb.
Democracy is the result of collective opinions and ideals from people. Republic is law estalished by reasoning. We have a democracy within our society at voting polls and in our juries during court trials. It only works when tempered by the republic (law), which was guaranteed to all States in the Union by our constitution. But democracy without the republic leads to tyranny-by-majority. We are not ruled by people, but by law. But laws can be be illegal absent their Constitutionality.
If we were talking late 18th and early 19th century, I'd agree with this statement. Our Constitution has nothing to do with marriage, which is not an inherent right. Our Constitutional rights are written to be those that are natural, god-given and inherent. So gay marriage is not guaranteed by our Constitution. Your mythical catch-all "repubs hate gays' bullshit is also worn out. Marriage has from the beginning been instituted between one man and one woman, and was such viewed by our founders, though marriage was and is not a part of the Constitution. That quote CLEARLY states, the government cannot make or enforce any law that takes away your privilege to marry. If it is a PRIVILEGE for one citizen, it is a privilege for ALL citizens. It also says it cannot deny any person EQUAL protection of the laws. A law prohibiting gay marriage denies gays from equal protection of the law to be married. There is no other way to interpret this. By the way, Marriage is a "god-given" right. Therefore, the constitution GUARENTEES a right to gay marriage.

The only example equal protection of the law is appied to marriage is if the law prohibits interracial marriage. Because race is inherent. Rights that are inborn must be protected. Being gay is not inherent, or inborn. God doesn't care if people marry or not, but He said He will bless it. He is also against homosexuality and all other sexual contact outside of marriage. So, you can't rightly inject God into the issue. The Constitution does NOT guarantee gay marriage.
The constitution doesn't say rights are only related to things inherent from birth. You were the one that brought god into it when you said the constitution applies to god given rights. The constitution does say that you cannot make a law that abridges a citizens privlege, that privlege applies to marriage. Our founding fathers never mentioned gay marriage so you cannot say that was their view. Marriage predates Christianity so it hasn't been between one man and one woman since the beginning.

Our founders didn't mention gay marriage because anyone in those days would never have considered the idea. They didn't mention marriage, period, though. Christianity has nothing to do with it. The PROOF that the constitution protects gay marriage lies in supreme court rulings. Everytime gay marriage was made illegal, the supreme courts ruled it unconstitutional and reversed it. This lead some states, like california, to vote to AMMEND the constitution. That means they changed the original constitution, so that it was no longer constitutional. Proving the original constitution supports the right.
The supreme court has misinterpreted many laws. The Court wants to legislate from the bench, rather than interpret Constitutional laws. Gay marriage is not Constitutional. Only States have the right to poll the ppl whether to make it law, but the Fed. cannot encroach on States' rights and States should stop letting the fed. encroach. States have their own Constitution, and Cali changed theirs in view of the people's wishes not to make it law. The Fed version does not support it gay marriage.

He has, on several occasions, on both his radio show, and on his former CNN show, expressed solidarity with The Patriot Act and Homeland Security. The former violates the 1st, 4th and 5th Amendments at several points, and the latter violates the 10th Amendment by federalizing the policing powers of the states.
As far as I'm concerned, there is no way to confuse Beck and Obama, apart from the fact that they pretend to hate each other. Both of them advocate massive Federal spending.

If the Japanese used water on our soldiers, they did so by drowning, not controlled sensation of drowning, which is what waterboarding is. Because this country has been conditioned to tolerate this stuff, primarily through the abandonment of objectivity of law. Granted, the Constitution itself is inherently subjective in many ways, which I find very problematic. Power being reserved to "The People" is a subjective and collectivist view of both morality and government. If the masses are asses, as they often are, "power to the people" can be the most overrated thing in the world, much like patriotism can be when you've lost a limb.

Democracy is the result of collective opinions and ideals from people. Republic is law estalished by reasoning. We have a democracy within our society at voting polls and in our juries during court trials. It only works when tempered by the republic (law), which was guaranteed to all States in the Union by our constitution. But democracy without the republic leads to tyranny-by-majority. We are not ruled by people, but by law. But laws can be be illegal absent their Constitutionality.

They voted to go to war because they were led to believe an immediate and immenent threat existed. That has since proven to be wrong.
Sadam was bad and no-one would despute this, but that alone is not enough to go to war. One thing Sadam did in his brutality was to keep the Sunnis and the Shiites from going to war, which has now happened. Furthermore, Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11

They found the materials to make WMD and missiles which the UN clearly banned. They had labs under the Bagfdad airport. Intelligence showed ties between Iraq and Bin Laden and that Iraq was a training camp for terrorists. Also, Hussein tortured and killed his own people because he was a madman tyrant dictator. Even THAT would be enough to go in to aid and free the Iraqi people. Terrorists went in gunning down US and ally troops, which showed there was a terrorist interest in Iraq.

We have declassified documents that our government was training for dealing with a potential terrorist takeover of a passenger plan. It is also a bit odd that NORAD stood down during the attacks, in part because they were running training exercises at just the right time.
Something about the events leading up to 9/11 stinks to high heaven, but whatever the case, three thousand dead does not justify 1.5 million more dead. This is basic logic.

That quote CLEARLY states, the government cannot make or enforce any law that takes away your privilege to marry. If it is a PRIVILEGE for one citizen, it is a privilege for ALL citizens. It also says it cannot deny any person EQUAL protection of the laws. A law prohibiting gay marriage denies gays from equal protection of the law to be married. There is no other way to interpret this. By the way, Marriage is a "god-given" right. Therefore, the constitution GUARENTEES a right to gay marriage.

The only example equal protection of the law is appied to marriage is if the law prohibits interracial marriage. Because race is inherent. Rights that are inborn must be protected. Being gay is not inherent, or inborn. God doesn't care if people marry or not, but He said He will bless it. He is also against homosexuality and all other sexual contact outside of marriage. So, you can't rightly inject God into the issue. The Constitution does NOT guarantee gay marriage.

The constitution doesn't say rights are only related to things inherent from birth. You were the one that brought god into it when you said the constitution applies to god given rights. The constitution does say that you cannot make a law that abridges a citizens privlege, that privlege applies to marriage. Our founding fathers never mentioned gay marriage so you cannot say that was their view. Marriage predates Christianity so it hasn't been between one man and one woman since the beginning.

The PROOF that the constitution protects gay marriage lies in supreme court rulings. Everytime gay marriage was made illegal, the supreme courts ruled it unconstitutional and reversed it. This lead some states, like california, to vote to AMMEND the constitution. That means they changed the original constitution, so that it was no longer constitutional. Proving the original constitution supports the right.

The supreme court has misinterpreted many laws. The Court wants to legislate from the bench, rather than interpret Constitutional laws. Gay marriage is not Constitutional. Only States have the right to poll the ppl whether to make it law, but the Fed. cannot encroach on States' rights and States should stop letting the fed. encroach. States have their own Constitution, and Cali changed theirs in view of the people's wishes not to make it law. The Fed version does not support it gay marriage.
