Seriously you guys, I'm sick of people romanticizing the life of the Hollywood actor. Its a business. She is making her livelihood. She wants longevity in her career. She is also not being offered the same roles as everyone else at the round-table. She does not have the luxury of only choosing the roles that she is in love with. When you're options are slim, it is wise to have a plan.
MS HENSON HAS TO MUCH MOUTH AND HALLE IS THE WORST BLACK ACTRESS EVER..................................WE ARE SICK OF THOSE WOMEN WHO HAS TO MUCH MOUTH AND NO TALENT GETTING ATTENTION............PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO VIOLA DAVIS AND ANGELA BASSETT AND MS DEVINE.....
the black woman (im reeally sorry i dont kknow who she is) but that sounds really thick. oh i get my team to read it and if it helps my career i'll do it... can she not think for herself if she's passionate about a role do it. what does it even mean 'its not right for your career' define whats 'right'? you gotts go with your gut. and i agree with Emma on this one it seems way too clinical. and acting shouldnt be clinical. ps i love Sally Happy Go Lucky was briliant
I like Taraji Henson and she is a good actress, but I agree with the other actresses about film roles, I don't think its up to the agent or manager to chose a film role for you, its up to the actor themselves to do that. The agent and manager are just to help you find the work, while its the actors job to chose and select what project to work on from what the agent/manager finds them.
@araya1 i think taraji is talking about those stereotypical roles she did a lot earlier in her career. she's done her fair share if them and she was wise to consult her manager/agent.

Taraji Henson is out of her league here. The other actresses are far better and have far more depth. Her "team" ... ugh. Barf.

I would take on roles who I fall in love with, at the same time I understand her point.

@araya1 that Taraji comes across to me as someone who's never quite had the success she's wanted and is trying to project an image… I'm not a fan.
