Ibn Taymeya which happens to be on this opinion, and has written a great deal on the Jinn. Humans are the off spring of Adam, and likewise the Jinn are the offspring of Azzazeel/Shytan/Lucifer/Satan. In your clip, just after the question "who or what are jinn?" you answer they are the off springs of Satan. To be accurate, there are many "Satans" as the word Satan translates as Shaytan, and there are many Shaytans as its a name for some of the Jinn. But Satan that you refer to in Aabic or in Quran is the Father of Jinn as in Adam the Father for Humans. In quran/arabic, the Father of Jinn is called IBLEES or IBLIS or however the proper spelling for it in English. Thought I would add that note.

I have done my studies on the subject and it seems that even muslim scholars seems to disagree on this, I guess on the matter of jinn its like politics, but still it doesn't matter. Even if the jinns do posess....well I wish they didn't.

Some years ago I used to see jinns only inside my house: one of them was like an old ugly lady who was trying to "kill me", another in the bathrrom tried to kill me with a knife, and another one looked just like me but with an evil and ironic smile.

Salam, there is no explicit text that says anything about the origins of the Jinn, as far as family tree, like Adam(pbuh) and humans. However, ibn Taymiya held this view, and I agree with him, since the story of Iblis is first mentioned with Adam(pbuh) it makes sense, that he would be the originator of the Jinn race. Also, as you've stated your self, Iblis or Satan wasn't always evil, he was created good, but he chose to be evil.

I don't know how long prior to man's creation Iblis was here but he was here before man was created. It states in the Quran that Allah said he was going to create man then breath into him his soul bow down to him. The angels bowed but Iblis didn't (Quran 15:28). This goes to show that Iblis (who was one of the Jinn) was here before man.

(And (remember) when We said unto the angels: Fall prostrate before Adam, and they fell prostrate, all save Iblis. He was of the jinn, so he rebelled against his Lord's command. Will ye choose him and his seed for your protecting friends instead of Me, when they are an enemy unto you? Calamitous is the exchange for evil-doers. )

@Javeer89 Nopes! All Jinns aren't! Jinns were created before man! Iblees(satan) was a pious jinn, who attained the status of angels through piety.. His arrogance and pride got him cursed as he refused to prostrate to Adam(pbuh) on the commandment of God because he thought that he is superior to Adam(pbuh), because Adam(pbuh) was created from clay while he was created from smokeless fire! It doesn't mean that other Jinns were non-existent at that time!
