Looks like they are FINALLY going to fix this with the 1.4 patch but what Silent Rob says still hold true in that it was the worst version to get on launch. I'm mainly a PC gamer and I have to face this kind of thing as well. For example, Saints Row The Third and how 3 months later it STILL does not run properly on most AMD GPU's.

This was the first Bethesda game I purchased on or near its release date. I've learned this is normal for Bethesda games to be glitch/bug ridden until/up to a year after their release date. Next time they release a game I would suggest waiting at least 6 months until purchase.

Yeah, some people have no problems at all while others basically have broken games. I love Skyrim but every time I try to play I run into some game breaking glitch like locked up quests and failing abilities. My shouts fail to work on a regular basis, I can hear them but nothing else.

The story in most RPGs are very charming with lots of heart that makes me care about the characters while western rpgs are very serious and all characters feel lifeless to me (Mass effect and dragon age are examples of characters with very little facial expression). I play fifa 12 on ps3 it's a Football game (soccer for americans) they have to go through all the football leagues in the world, there about 50 in the game, make every single player face and research them watch them play and do all their stats and theirs about 20 players for each team and about 20 teams in each league, they also made a new engine and it's on ps3, xbox, pc and wii. And i think ds.

Speaking of technical problems though this isn't about Skyrim, but I just bought Killzone 3 and I put it in and the sound is not working at all. It works on the main ps3 menu screen when showing the disc, but in game menus and while playing there is nothing. Anyone Help me?? lol thanks

If you get the glitch? Yes it is that bad. I'll describe the one I got called the lag glitch. This glitch doesn't show up until you invested 20 or more hours in the game... which really sucks.
As the game accumulates more data on your play-through the frame-rate slows and keeps slowing the more you continue to play until you can't move forward anymore without the game stuttering badly every step you take. To make matters worse the patch they released didn't fix it.
I can't tell you if your going to get it for sure, but if you do you'll definitely be screwed. Bethesda most likely is going to ignore it and move on. I sold my copy back at a loss and bought the 360 version and its not just good... it's excellent. Personally I'm not buying any multi-platform games for PS3 ever again. It's just not worth it.

Dark Souls is a good game, but Skyrim is better (when it works). I did really enjoy Dark Souls though, it was unforgiving, but felt good when you beat an enemy (any enemy not just bosses) but If I was going to play a game for the Holidays, I'd definitely go Skyrim.

Didn't they have games BEFORE internet capable systems? Why does EVERY game nowadays have to be updated constantly? Make the game playable before you release it maybe? Those ball lickers at Bethesda put more time into writing an entire imaginary history to the World of Nirn and all the past doings of Tamriel just for books in the game and not enough time making sure the game WORKED.

This was the first Bethesda game I purchased on or near its release date. I've learned this is normal for Bethesda games to be glitch/bug ridden until/up to a year after their release date. Next time they release a game I would suggest waiting at least 6 months until purchase.

Yeah, some people have no problems at all while others basically have broken games. I love Skyrim but every time I try to play I run into some game breaking glitch like locked up quests and failing abilities. My shouts fail to work on a regular basis, I can hear them but nothing else.

The story in most RPGs are very charming with lots of heart that makes me care about the characters while western rpgs are very serious and all characters feel lifeless to me (Mass effect and dragon age are examples of characters with very little facial expression). Tales of Graces F and Ni no kuni > Skyrim.

I play fifa 12 on ps3 it's a Football game (soccer for americans) they have to go through all the football leagues in the world, there about 50 in the game, make every single player face and research them watch them play and do all their stats and theirs about 20 players for each team and about 20 teams in each league, they also made a new engine and it's on ps3, xbox, pc and wii. Speaking of technical problems though this isn't about Skyrim, but I just bought Killzone 3 and I put it in and the sound is not working at all. It works on the main ps3 menu screen when showing the disc, but in game menus and while playing there is nothing. Anyone Help me?? lol thanks

If you get the glitch? Yes it is that bad. I'll describe the one I got called the lag glitch. This glitch doesn't show up until you invested 20 or more hours in the game... which really sucks.
As the game accumulates more data on your play-through the frame-rate slows and keeps slowing the more you continue to play until you can't move forward anymore without the game stuttering badly every step you take. To make matters worse the patch they released didn't fix it.

I can't tell you if your going to get it for sure, but if you do you'll definitely be screwed. Bethesda most likely is going to ignore it and move on. I sold my copy back at a loss and bought the 360 version and its not just good... it's excellent. Personally I'm not buying any multi-platform games for PS3 ever again. It's just not worth it.

Dark Souls is a good game, but Skyrim is better (when it works). I did really enjoy Dark Souls though, it was unforgiving, but felt good when you beat an enemy (any enemy not just bosses) but If I was going to play a game for the Holidays, I'd definitely go Skyrim.

360 ver. is fine.
I'd been playing offline for 50 hours before connecting to the net and downloading the updates and it was totally stable. The updates just made it run even smoother.
Truth is Skyrim deserves to win Game of the Year... unless you own a PS3
