If you dont mind i have a question.i have two bantam hens in the coop now.I have 6 road island reds that got there fethers about two weeks ago when do you think they would be old enough to go in the coop with the other two. Thanks
When I introduce new chickens to my group I put the new chickens in a wire pen within the coop for a few days so the other chickens can get to know them without harming them. You may find an issue as your new chickens will grow much bigger than you bantems and you may find the new ones peck the others when they are fully grown. Hope this helps.
