  • His face is so vivid to me. I wasn't even looking for it. Do you see him?

  • I would hate to go visit havasu canyon expecting the clear aqua blue waters of the falls, and get down there to see this mud shower.

  • is this in arizona???

  • my class went camping down there and we even swam by that waterfall too bad i wonder how those dogs are doing

  • that makes me so sad, went their last year and it was just the prettiest thing i ever saw, now it is all brown? 2 months ago it wasnt even flowing!

  • We were there when it happened in Aug. 06.

It happened in the middle of the day.

It was just a gorgeous day at Havasu Falls, very sunny & warm, then we decided to head back because we were tired.

Within 15 minutes on the trail back the sky was dark, rain and hail came down, rocks were falling everywhere on the trail, we had to climb a tree at the edge of the village because of the rising waters. When it happens there it happens FAST.

    Great time though!

  • I was there 2 days before...wow.

  • That's pretty awesome. So do you know, did the flood start while there was still daylight out?

  • oh my gosh.

  • OKAY HEY THE FLOOD SEASONS ARE ALWAYS JULY/AUG/SEPT...maybe...but BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU GO DOWN THERE PPL.

  • I was just there a few months ago. I would have been running for the hills.

  • great video

  • Wow! I was there in March 2006 and 2007 - crazy how the blue water changed because of the flood!

  • sweet

  • THAT MY FRIENDS IS THE MOST DIVINE OF TIMES, you should feel blessed to have been there during the natural purging and purification seasons. Great shot.

  • Extremely true. We were there just two weeks ago and witnessed a flash flood, albeit much smaller. We felt quite blessed.

  • Looks like some sewage treatment plant opened all its pipes and let the human "nectar" take its course!

  • Wow, now I know why is never crowded =o

  • its almost never like this. its gorgeous when its .... not.... so flooded

  • wheres the blue water?!?

  • Wow Im going in August this year how often does it flood like that?

  • it usually floods in august...that's when the village ppl have their ceremonies. There have been major floods that have killed ppl, usually July-August. But it's very unpredictable.

  • i was there the day after that very flood and the water was all brown like that, it was really sad

  • the 'brown' is just sediment ...

  • ya some chick was looking at my photos and shes like "omg it looks like willy wonkas chocolate waterfall!" i told her to shut up

  • That was awesome

  • Wow! I've been here twice, and never would have suspected that.

  • Wow, I remember seeing all the signs posted around when I was there warning about flash flooding. I'm glad it didn't happen then because the waterfall is gorgeous but that flooding looks pretty cool too.
