  • Poe's Law states: “ Without a winking smiley or other blatant display of humor, it is impossible to create a parody of Fundamentalism that SOMEONE won't mistake for the real thing. ”

  • Sorry, but this is the biggest load of shit I've ever heard. What ever happened to proper informed discussion?

  • "I don't know how they know that".. the same way they know EVERYTHING that they know about cuttlefish, SCIENTIFIC STUDY. Moron.

  • Another creation video that starts with ''Evolution says...'' and then they fuck it up.

  • Eric Hovind lacks knowledge of evolution, but more than that he lacks freedom of thought. He is restrained to his point of view (forced into him by his brilliant father) and cannot stray from it. Kent should serve additional jail time for child abuse for stunting his son's intellectual capacity.

  • Because we do not believe in the ability of God, it must be our own understanding and unproven so called "Facts" that explain everything - stupid evolutionism mind set.

  • Its an amazing creature...THEREFORE GOD!

    The stupid - it burns.

How would evolution explain these defensive mechanisms?

Selective pressure from predators you moronic, lying sacks of crap!

  • It's complicated, therefore god. It all makes sense.

  • @GofreMcNoodle HAHAHAHAHA

  • For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles...

They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.

  • "Common Sense" and "Eric Hovind" - error - mutually exclusive keywords.

  • "Because we don't know, it must have been God"

    Whole creationist argument.

    Fails to mention which God

And fails to mention specifically how

  • What a load of bollocks.

  • I wish they'd stop referring to that poor animal as a "fish."

  • Not another ''It's complex, we don't understand, so gawd dun it'' video.

  • stopped watching after 10 seconds, because this looked unlikely tzo be satire or worth watching

  • how does evolution explain that? well obviously, over time, the cuttlefish that were better at camouflage and better at tricking predators survived, and the ones that weren't so good got eaten. The surviving cuttlefish passed on their genes to their offspring, and the cycle would start over. over thousands of years, they got to where they are today.

chances are they started out with camouflage, and over time evolved the ability to change color, and eventually, got more creative at using it.

  • And the credentials of the creationist team are?

  • It's a shame that my viewing of this video contributes to its "views"

  • It's scary that there are people this stupid living among us.

  • "How would evolution explain..." "Evolution can't explain..." blah, blah, blah. Here's a novel idea, how about getting an ACTUAL marine biologist and evolutionary biologist on the show, and letting them weigh in on the issue. These three idiots aren't even trying

  • Ah yes, the Argument from Ignorance, a classic choice in logical fallacy. Eric Hovind keeps his fallacious reasoning simple, none of that other fancy stuff.

  • 0:01 - 3:38 -> facepalm

  • Great 8th grade science report on cuttlefish guys, but everything you mention backs up evolution.

  • This makes me rage.

  • These people are not stupid and they do not believe in creation. They are trying to make an idiot society so they will have more followers donating money to the church. Pure Evil.

  • Cuttlefish: If it ain't broke. Don't fix it.

  • "Sittin' there getting munched on."

  • "researchers"...mmmmmm...SCIENTISTS AND GRAD STUDENTS UNITE!

  • Once again more evidence that creationists do not understand evolution or how it works. Someone who truly understands the mechanisms of evolution, would not be a creationist.

  • Oh my ! The absolute horror. It was like watching 3 people trying to prove who has a lower IQ. We are doomed if these morons ever get their way and teach this nonsense in classrooms. Yikes... my brain is still reeling from this idiocy I just witnessed.

  • I came here to ridicule, but I see it's already been taken care of.

  • LOL. Creationist are the biggest IRL trolls... Actually they are just dumb. :(

  • This is completely retarded. Conservatives are dumb.

  • Does anyone know what actual credentials these people have? I imagine someone like Jonathon Sampson coming from Liberty University or Bob Jones.

  • Eric Hovind has a degree in derpology.

  • Damn these creationists just keep getting more and more ridiculous; I thought Kent Hovind was about as crazy as anybody could get, but his kid is fast moving up on him. What these guys don't see is that evolution IS the reason for the cuttlefish's abilities to hunt and camoflage itself. Nature fine-tuned its ancestors over millions of years in order to develop those traits. PERFECT example of evolution. And did that guy say the fish blends in with the background without looking at ITSELF? LOL.

  • So...because the modern cuttlefish has defense mechanisms in his environment and similar fish without those mechanism do not exist because they were weeded out by natural selection...GODDIDIT!

  • 3 scientific illiterates spouting crap.

  • BAAAAHAHAHAAAHAHAHAA!!! That was fucking hilarious!!!!!!!! There was no argument! It was just "Hey, look what the cuttlefish does, that's pretty fucking cool, science says it can do this, this and this, does evolution explain this? *Smirks. And shrugs shoulders*"

    5 STARS!!!

  • "With our host, Eric Hovind."

Once that's been read out, you KNOW you're in for a laugh.

  • What is really pathetic in this is that Eric Hovind KNOWS what the evolutionary arguments are for this but rather than try and critique those arguments he follows the path of lies and deceit he has learnt off his father and stares straight at the camera claims they do not even exist.

  • cuttlefish are the secret Galactic overlords .

Perhaps being able to hide well makes surviving easier ?

  • Thinking is hard. Thinking is really hard. It is hard to think. I can't think any more cause it's hard.

Er, god did it. That's it.

  • Does anyone else think that Eric Hovind look like Kenneth the Page?

  • If there were any evidence for creationism, someone would have found something by now.

  • There is , its called look around you. Your here , evolution is the worst religion out there.

  • Still waiting for any evidence of any of the gods or of creationism. If there were any evidence of creationism, someone would have found something by now.

So you don't like religions, fair enough me too.

  • 666 views. Coincidence, or evidence that Eric Hovind is the son of Satan?

  • @C0nc0rdance The 666 views was predestined for you. It's up at 3 243 now..

  • Eric was doing a great impression of a Cuttlefish in this video. Wearing that blue shirt, he was blending in with the background behind him! :-D

  • I like to think that cuttlefish agree with evolution. They are pretty smart little critters and I really think that if you took the time to explain evolution to them they would agree.

  • I have to agree with this.

The fact that we can`t understand the cuttle fish completely contradicts the mountains of evidence we have that proves evolution.

  • Scottish Atheist is soooo reasonable and that is why he never resorts to insult. Just read all of his reasonable sentiments and wonder at what a reasonable guy he is. Does anybody else see the wonderful grandeur of his reason??? No emotion! No faith! No dubious assumptions only reason!!! I can see clearly that he never argues from emotion or bias.

  • The DNA information requires a complex decoding machine, the ribosome, but the instructions to build ribosomes are on the DNA. And decoding requires energy from ATP, built by ATP-synthase motors, built from instructions in the DNA decoded by ribosomes vicious circles for any materialistic origin theory, as leading philosopher of science Karl Popper put it.

  • 0:35

You know its a quality program when you have to start here!

  • well, if science can't explain the remarkable skills of a cuttlefish..... well, then show or proof the existence of a creator! BULLSHIT!!!

  • Lmao, this shit is so retarded. A similar argument would be, the sun looks like its moving around the Earth. How does science explain THAT!?

Completely ignores the fact that science DOES explain it and you could understand it too if your not a creationist retard.

  • So, god exists and created the earth because the bible says so, and the bible is true because it's god's word? Nice circular reasoning.

Maybe if you actually paid attention in science class, you'd understand how evolution works, and that it has nothing to do with matter coming out of nothing.

  • Wow, something we don't understand, it MUST be god.

This video is so full of crap, it's almost hard for me to believe they are serious.

  • Which version of Creation in the Bible do you like best?

    Genesis Chapter ONE,

in which humans were created AFTER plants and animals?

Or chapter TWO, in which humans were created BEFORE plants and animals?

    Chapter ONE,

in which man and woman were created at the same time?

    Or chapter TWO,

in which man was created before the plants

and woman was created after all the animals?

  • apparently neither of these guys have ever heard of a little thing called "Natural Selection"

  • notice how he doesnt bring an actual biologist onto the show.

might want to have a real bilogist to blow this argument out of the water.

  • Our shortfallings in understanding all the amazing wonders of nature constitutes evidence of our need to continue learning,

    nothing more.

Get some qualified scientists on the show if you are serious about wanting to learn, rather than so rapidly concluding the supernatural.

Not only is creationism dependant on mystery, it promotes ignorance and putting the brakes on research.

    A great social disservice.

  • Common sense is what tells you that the world is flat. Common sense is what tells you that the sun goes around the earth. Common sense is often a good first guess, but also the accumulation of prejudices, and often false when it comes to things outside your scale of daily experience.

  • Well, how DOES evolution explain the cuttlefish?

Just like every other living being: The frequency of alleles in the gene pools of populations that self-replicate with modification change with time due to mutation and selection.

It amazes me again and again that these people postulate a creator god, then deny all the evidence in the world that shows how that creation would have went. In essence, they are calling their creator a liar, and that's the bottom line.

  • So this is some type of new Creationist strategy? Simply look at an animal, spew out some fun facts, ask "How does evolution explain this?" and then sit there with a dumbass look on your face. Seriously it's like they actually expect someone to come on set an answer because they're not even going to bother to try.

The second half is just more of their complete and utter ignorance of evolution.

  • ScottishAtheist-

Clever response. Obviously you feel good about yourself for conjuring up such irrefutable and sustainable arguments about God and how mean he is. You have undermined all of the arguments that could actually be raised for the existence of a creator with your few little words. Now that I've lost my faith due to your really amazing wit can I worship you instead? Obviously you deserve it being so cleaver and insightful.

  • Aww, god is good because he created lil' soft cats? Why then, do you think he created the nematode worm, which causes river blindness in millions of innocent people?

    He's so good!

  • God created a PERFECT world in the begining but adam sinned bringing death and suffering into the world. now we have cancer, stds, blindness, Death, mutations, depression, ect... not because God hates us but because the world has been cursed, for our own sakes none the less. So blame Adam for nematode worms that couse blindness, not God.

Man had a choice and he chose to sin, And who is innocent? We have all sinned and came short of the glory of God, and the wage of sin is death.

  • "not because God hates us but because the world has been cursed,"

    - So, wouldn't an all powerful and all loving God lift the curse? Or maybe he's not all powerful, or perhaps at least not all loving.

  • God is love, and he has lifted cures. Today we still have a choice. The gift of God is eternal life. The wage of sin is death.

  • lol, I love how in your twisted mind that makes sense. Of course, I have my doubts you really believe that tripe, but whatever. Give god credit for all the "nice" things, don't blame him for all the things he screwed up. Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God? -Epicurus ps. necrogasm - what a name!
  • The unsaved doubt the power and wisdom of God. The living Creator and sustainer of all things whose eternity, omniscience, omnipresence, omnipotence, sovereignty and love are declared in Holy Scripture. Repent poor sinner! Tear up the textbooks...

For He is our Father which art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name!

  • Amen!
