In the lyrics, Ben sings about losing your optimistic views on life. If you notice, whenever you see someone with sunglasses the lenses are always clear. Except, at 1:59 in the video. There is a guy playing guitar. I guess because he is a musician, he didn't lose his creative side of him as well as his optimism.

Just my thoughts. If DCFC actually was hinting at that, then good on them for such incredible lyrics and videos.
