This game was brilliant, the hardest part was early in the game where you had to beat either Boom Boom Bertie or Pretty Boy Snyder to advance.

great great memories in the mid 80's but look at it now and its so gay. i mean at 1:50 when the boxer gets hit he has to walk forward and than collapse like someone put a knife up his arsehole.

Pedro ramirez was a bitch back in the day. I played this to death in april 1987 i was on cloud 9 high as anything the day we bought this game. I was 12. when your a kid things seem magic and wonderful like your in another country playing the game amazed and happy

Did anyone ever try having a two player game and not take any puches...do it for about 3 rounds non stop and the crowd disapear!!! then take a few pucnhes and the next round they come back hahahaha

brilliant, my favourite game ever as a kid = i remember leaving my amstrad464 on for 3 days as you coulnt save it = i must have had over 300 fights [must have been very sad? but i seem to remember having a couple of draws as both fighters TKOed each other = did anyone else have a draw / was it possible?]

my record as Jawbreaker Jarvis was something like W 260 D 2 L38 losing a few on purpose to move between fighters

Hmmm.. The US version of this game was called "Star Rank Boxing" and instead of Barry McGuigan, the champion was called Boris Nikolenko (I think).

At any rate, this was one my favorite games on the C64.

i remember if neither boxer throws a punch, the crowd start leaving and it comes up with "The crowd is disappearing"
