  • "legit" apple cinema display xD

  • oh look, u got an Apple Display bro

  • I'm considering to buy a modified 2011 mac mini...

Specs are: -RAM: 8GB -Graphic card: AMD Radeon 6630M (1GB) -Processor: Intel Core i7 (2.7 GHz) -Hard Drive: 750GB

Do You think GTA IV will run smoothly?

Please reply, thanks in advance, By the way, I subscribed.

  • @FelixSchmetzTV I am getting one too. =P Gonna edit clips and game.

  • Awesome

  • will it run on Xeon Dual Hyper Threading capable Core 3.2Ghz, 4GB RAM, nVidia Geforce 6200 512MB? and on what setting (i.e. Low/Med/High)

  • CHEESY VAGINAS!!!!!! ;)

  • @c4pt1n54n0 Finally, someone who get's it!

  • tu sistema es windo macho mira la cosa verde de inicio y el disco k pone windo en

  • Wow you put an apple logo on your monitor,. Looooooooooooooooser

  • @99F It's an Apple Monitor dummy.

  • @llSniperWolfll lol that's not an apple monitor...LMAO...

  • apple should make a gaming system.

  • lol at the apple sticker :D

  • gta iv for pc is poorly written game... mafia ii works perfectly on my mac mini at a resolution of 1280x720, with everything switched to high...

  • do you have to get bootcamp to have win 7 on mac?? and if i get win on mac can i get viruses

  • i got this cider on macbook

  • I don't want to know what happens when you get your hands on a Karin Dilettante.

  • hi, nice Video!!

Do you need Windows or something to run GTA IV? And does the Video-Editor althoug works??

  • is gta episodes from liberty city playable on mac

  • I'm gonna buy a mac within a year now and I've never looked into how they are running windows or for the matter of fact, games via windows, but as the mac mini doesn't have too much horsepower, and still runs GTA IV okay (doesn't look superb, but it's alright), I was sort of, well, surprised, as it's Windows.

For me, although, it stands between one of the midst imacs or one of the 15" macbooks, based on this, it seems like they're going to do fine:)

  • Want to go Bowling?

  • Omg, PATCH THE GAME DUDE!!

IT WILL RUN 32 PERCENT FASTER ON THE NEWER PATCHES.

  • bro did u install xp on VMWARE?

  • i dont understand thats a windows game how is it working on your mac os?

  • @KeviNguyeniSexy use something call boot camp where you can install windows on your mac

  • @TheDulki it looked as if he opened the game in the mac os. or is it jus theme?

  • i actually ended up getting a customized imac, specs are: nvidia geforce 9400, intel core 2 duo, 3.33ghz and 4gb of ram. havent got windows 7 yet so i cant play gta4 but im hoping that it will run it smoothly

  • @awsomepossum1340

I hope it works out cause the 9400M is slower than the 320M. Even if u have a faster intel processor, it doesn't necessarily mean gameplay would be better than this. Your game may load faster cause of the 7200 RPM Hard Drive & faster Intel chip but graphical rendering may not be as good. Keep your fingers crossed & hope alls well.

  • @pokeeto2 just installed it, the graphics card is a peice of shit for this game but the ultra fast proccessor makes up for it. I can run it at medium-high with the graphics tweak. It runs well but this game is so shitty optimized. i can tell cause i can run crisis medium-high with shadows off and low texture details.

  • @awsomepossum1340 Then you aren't running it at medium high, you're running it at low.

  • @pokeeto2 it will run

  • @pokeeto2 my macbook 13 inch is also a 320m, 2.4ghz and planning to install more ram, do you think it'll work

  • @awsomepossum1340 umm why not build a beast gaming computer for under 1000$??? with the money you spend on a imac you could get a 560 ti with a i7 and 8gb of ram a awsome case and a 23 inch screen with a gaming mouse and gaming keyboard and a fresh copy of windows 7 but whatever.

  • @awsomepossum1340 ih have a vid on how to get it on mac if youd like to try it out?

  • What about baseline iMac? Can it run gta 4 fine?

  • @iamthebesfromyou

The current baseline iMac offered? Definitely & a heck of a lot better than this

  • @pokeeto2 thanks bro. I'll be buying it!

  • do you use a virtual machine such as vmware?

  • @lukoutube

No, I still use boot camp cause it works perfectly. Mostly cause I don't use Windows much at all. Only for school reasons & for the occasional game like this which I'm not a Hardcore Gamer.

  • @pokeeto2 good, I did not know you can made a partition for windows, anyway i have a macbook.., I have vmware(virtual machine) but i can't play the latest games with it.

  • da hats einer voll im griff lol

  • @Smoodoosthebest

Obviously more processor power & Ram equals better performance. But the real dog is the 5400 RPM Hard Drive, even in mine. I think if u have the same 4GB of Ram as me, the difference won't be much at all ( If Any ). Remember that durring gaming the drive is always loading, the faster the better.

  • how do you play gta4 on mac please respond

  • @awsomepossum1340

    Intel Macs can run windows

  • @pokeeto2 do all macs have intel? do imacs run intel? do you have to run bootcamp to use it or do you only run bootcamp if you dont have intel?

  • @awsomepossum1340

Since 2006 Every Mac has Intel. And yes I booted using bootcamp as it's the best way to fully take advantage of the processor, RAM, & Etc. You have to have Intel, and you have to make sure it's a Mac thats up to spec to run it.

  • @pokeeto2 ok so last question, i'm reletivley sure i am going to get the 21.5 inch imac (the upgraded 3.2 gigahertz) will it run better or worse than this? the video card is an ATI Radeon HD 5670 512MB. Or am I fucked if I dont pay 3000 dollars for a mac pro?

  • @awsomepossum1340

Are you kidding? That will put this Mac Mini to shame LOL... You get discrete which means it has it's own 512MB of Ram vs mine which is integrated and hogs 256MB of the systems ram. And you get the fast Core i Series chip which is faster, 7200 RPM Hard Drives, and faster memory.

Mac PRO is no joke cause you can upgrade the Graphics card whenever you want and will be more reliable in the long run. I miss iMac and I will get 1 when they intro a new iMac

  • @pokeeto2 you can upgrade the graphics card on the new 2010 imac, i believe but you cant upgrade the graphics processor unit wich can be done on mac pro. anyway, thanks fo the help

  • @awsomepossum1340

Um U really can't upgrade anything on the iMac other than the Ram & the Hard Drive which can be done. Swapping a Hard Drive yourself voids the warrantee tho. But you're kinda free to do almost whatever on Mac Pros

  • So if i would take the mew macbook pro with I5 core and nVidia 330 GPU, it would run even better??

  • does the mac mini is also a good gamingrig?

  • nice cinema display

  • @MrPlaystationboy

Oh I love it, Brand New from Apple for $159 and Matte finish?? It's a definite Steal!!!!!

  • why dont you just sell this shit you call mac and buy a gaming pc for the same price but 10000 times the quality and performance

  • @sk8erfreak9242

Nope, Windows just can't compare to Mac OS X. Even Windows 7 and I know windows 7 well. I do have a Custum Built PC I made years ago, With A clear sided case, Blue and Green LED's all over inside, 7 LED Lit Fans, everything but I just don't use it much. Catching dust in my closet for past few months as I speak.

And I really don't game much at all. I prefer gaming consoles and Not PC. Saw this for $9 new and figured Y not.. I'm not complaining so y u suffer?

  • @pokeeto2

Damn right, there are lots of wise ass guy who think we bought Mac for gaming.

I have custom build PC too but guess what, I used Mac Mini most of the time.

  • @pokeeto2 well but gaming on a pc is way better because there is funner stuff you can do like in gta 4 you can use mods to make an online game funner that what you would play on a ps3 or xbox 360

  • @sk8erfreak9242 The problem is PC gaming is pretty much dead besides MMO's and Strategy games. Everyone that games now a days do it on a platform that has the most developer support and that is consoles. So if you have to use a PC for non - gaming related tasks why would you want to use a inferior OS in Windows?

  • @bry223 dude what the hell are you taling about? pc is definitely not dead there are still many people who have them. if you didnt know console graphics are shit compared to pc and thats why itll always be on top. plus mouse + keyboard = accuracy compared to controllers.

  • @sk8erfreak9242 First off read my post before you reply back it won't make you look as ignorant little kid. Now let's get this started. I never said PC's are DEAD, I said PC Gaming is DEAD. Secondly is your mouse + keyboard is correct for pretty much most of the genre's I listed as being the only thing doing well on PC's, MMO's and RTS games. Granted FPS's are better with a mouse / keyboard as well.

  • @sk8erfreak9242 Also a gamepad is much better for sport games, racing games, action/adventure games and platformers than a mouse/kb is.

  • Absolute wonderful! NO lag! Have you ever tryed playing online?

  • @yalamix

It's not gonna be the same as a Super PC, Xbox, or PS3 but it is more than good enough to play and enjoy the game.

Haven't tried online yet. But I now have an XBOX360 remote so I do drive much better now.

But Windows XP PR only registers 3GB of ram on here so it might work better had it of used all 4GB ( Well about 768mb cause the 320m takes 256mb ).

I might take it up to windows 7 if I find a cheap copy and it might play a bit better.

  • Great little powerhouse, game does not look great. Imagine though in the next year or two how well newer minis will run GTA IV though.

  • my graphics card is bigger than your computer

  • @cspj12

    childish..

  • @HybriiD122 its not like i said "my cock is bigger than your computer" *that* would be childish. merely an observation

  • @cspj12 O.O

  • i have a late mac mini late 2009 but i going to buy a pc laptop with slightly lower specs than this! but im kepping my little powerhouse also :)

  • @gamecreaterdude13

Why the PC laptop?? Is it that much cheaper than even a refurbished White Macbook??

Apple sometimes puts White Unibody 2.26Ghz MacBooks for 749 and the current 2.4ghz version for 849 . You just need to check the refurb mac page everyday cause they update inventory even twice a day,

  • @pokeeto2 the laptops 525 dollars and i now know that the specs are much higher than those of my mac mini so yea

  • LOL at the sticker! :) I really want a Mac Mini and looking to find one at a good price. Great vid btw

  • @HKallan I bought mine 3 weeks ago for 2900 shekels (apeox 900$) and I must say that i highly recomend it.

  • can u play games with mac or do u have to download some program to play games with mac?

  • @santtu13

All regular/non server Macs come with bootcamp which is what allows you to partition, install, and run Window.

All you need to do is boot up in Windows and use it like any other windows PC.

There are games available for Max OS X but not many, that why you can boot up in windows if you need to.

  • @pokeeto2 thanks

  • @santtu13 can u play it on a mac os x

  • @bigmiller6 yeah

  • can the new macbook white run gta 4 ?

  • @nugundamof00

It should as it has the same specs as the Mac Mini even tho the cone with the 2.4ghz C2d. I've seen vids of the old 2.26Ghz Aluminum MacBooks with the nVidia 9400m playing ok but with low settings. But with the 13" display, the lower settings weren't that bad. Now with nVidia 2.4Ghz and 320m GPU , should be much better.

I'd upgrade the Ram to 4GB which you must do. Keep in mind Mac Mini is similar to the white MacBook, only it's Mini is in desktop form.

  • does anyone think going from 2.4 to 2.66 model will make 1080p video content play back better? is it worth the $150 upgrade?

  • @chives

Any speed increase will help. But the 2.4Ghz Mac Mini should handle 1080p content fine. I mean, Apple TV was a 1Ghz chip and it handled 720p content fine. I took it because I do a lot of Video editing ( iMovie HD, Handbrake, and etc.) like I said in the 1st line.

I'm gonna hold on to this Mini until the Mini gets the Core i series chips ( Hopefully Core i5 ), USB 3.0, faster GPU. This has got to happen within the next 1-3 years. Core 2 Duo will fade out within this timeframe.

  • @pokeeto2 cool thanks for the tip. im selling my old 4th gen imac to get this for my media hub/secondary machine. i do video editing too but i use my MBP for that. only because HD in final cut pro and after effects are such power guzzlers. people under estimate the power of the mac mini though. only a few years ago similar specs were in the imacs and people used those for final cut pro as well. the mac mini is sweet machine.

  • @chives 1 of my reasons for liking it more too.

  • i didnt know you could do that and i like that apple stick on your screen i did the same

  • @zsxwrsd

Yeah, Makes the Display look more Mac(ish). Since The Acer Logo is still Visible, I think I will put Some black Electrical tape over the Acer Logo so all whats visible is the Apple Sticker.

I think a 7200Rpm drive will help load in details quicker, other than that, I didn't expect the 320m do handle this game well. I've seen other vids of the 9400m and people used the 800 X 600 setting and everything set to min.

  • @pokeeto2 your suposed to get the apple cinama screen but i like some of the good sony ones to use for it

  • @zsxwrsd

Cinema Displays costs the same or More than the Mini. Got this 21.5" for $159 and it does HD 1920X1080. It's an attractive display in person, Metallic Black so it's sparkly when light beams on it. I'm gonna get an aGent v5 Webcam to put atop which comes in Chrome and looks like the iSight Cam.

Actually, I can't Stand the Glare on the Cinema Displays because of the Glass. It's also one of the reasons why I returned a 21.5" iMac. It was a freakin mirror.

  • @pokeeto2 so true you can buy anti glare sheets for glass but it depends on your situation i kinda like a mat finish more and i like the macmini more than the imac because you can pick your screen or even use your tv
