I know that it it's Extreme Ways by Moby, but actually it is a different version than in the Bourne Ultimatum. Does anyone know if this is a remix of the song?
Well, or I could just leave a comment asking? People like you piss me off sometimes. Go make a video and be a dipshit there. To anyone who wants to know song name it's Extreme Ways.
If you check the video description, or the comments section, or IMDb, or simply look it up elsewhere on the net, you'd realise the song is called Mr. Bojangles.
Hard to get a definitive answer. Several designers online suggested Helevtica Demi and Myriad Pro. However to me, a much closer match I can see after a few minutes of searching is Euromode Bold.
Thanks. I have to say, that one seems a bit more rounded and fuller like The Bourne Identity/Supremacy font. This one is has some subtle differences in being straighter, thinner and having harder, less rounded edges, almost more, say, 'digital'.
Like this one - pickafont-dot-com/fonts/E/Euromode%20Bold . Harder to spot in lower case, but take a look at the capitals.
@TheConciseStatement Great post, but was wondering about your thoughts on #4 when you said 'sadly not final after all.' ? This is my first time learning that there was a #4 locked in. My first reaction was 'awesome, they're making another'. My immediate second reaction was 'I hope they don't mess it up'.
My position has always been : When Greengrass says no, don't do any more. For all the 'ShakyCam Whingers' out there, this is his franchise now. No one creates momentum and immediacy, or strips a script down to its bare essentials like he can. Anyone else will almost certainly be a backward step in my opinion. Tony Gilroy is high risk - mainly a writer with little experience directing at all, let alone action. My guess is his style will be closer to Doug Liman's in Bourne Identity.
Sadly not final after all. Apparently Universal have locked Tony Gilroy to direct #4 - The Bourne Legacy. It's a crafty move because he's written the Bourne films, so already must have a working relationship with Matt Damon, who said he wouldn't return without Paul Greengrass. That makes it more awkward for him to turn it down.
you know i believe they going use the newer books name instead of bourne conspiracy like bourne betrayal and etc. However, I don't believe they are going to make a new bourne because it was a good ending already.
Dramatic integrity is not what usually dictates when another film in a franchise is made. It's about economics. Universal own Bourne. If Damon and Greengrass never wanted to return, Universal could try and relaunch it without them. And yes it would suck.
After the money 'Transformers : Revenge of the Fallen' made, I'm quite convinced people will swallow anything. Lisa Simpson was right : "You'll never go broke appealing to the lowest common denominator."
this credits sequence feels a bit unnessesary now that a new borune film is onit's way - if there wasn't a new film coming this sequence would be a cool end to the series
There are three more Bourne novels written by Eric Van Lustbader (I have them here in my room). I think he's also producing another one some time this year. So, realistically, they have plenty of stuff to draw from, but as I said, they haven't been drawing too heavily on Robert Ludlum's envisioning of Jason Bourne anyway. I mean his entire history is completely different, for starters, not to mention the plots of the last two films. : P
There have been a lot of rumors - Matt Damon and Greengrass don't want to do it, they do want to do it, they don't want to do it.
The best answer anyone can really give you is that there may be one, so wait and see. There's enough novel to keep the movies going for the next twenty years, but the truth is, the movies haven't been following the plot of the book very closely since about halfway through The Bourne Identity.
Any idea if there's gonna be a new Bourne? Last I heard was Matt Damon said he doesn't want to do it without one of the directors whose supposedly not interested?
I heard a rumor a few years back that they were thinking about it, but that the project ultimately fell apart, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, personally I think Ultimatum was a solid ending to a solid trilogy...plus there is no more source material to draw from.
Last I heard, Universal have a fourth and final Bourne film in the works, and that Greengrass and Damon were in fact on board. It may be worth checking IMDb, to see if that's still the case.
Idk about that. Greengrass himself joked if they were to make a 4th it should be called "The Bourne Redundancy". The story is finished, a 4th one would just be a greedy attempt to make more money and ruin one of the best trilogies of all time.
I remember that 'Redundancy' quip too. Still, that was a while ago now. IMDb still has 'Untitled Jason Bourne Project' slated for 2011, and Damon and Greengrass really are meant to be on board.
For a time, Wikipedia stated that they had gone with 'The Bourne Legacy', as per the post-Ludlum novel, and that early drafts had toyed with the idea of Bourne assisting someone in South America, but all those details have since been removed, so we can question their validity.
hmmmm, is this a different version of the song or u just changed the pitch? cause it sounds abit different from the actual Extreme Ways Bournes Ultimatum.
@LtActionCam This is the correct version of the song. Bournes Ultimatum's version is different. All three Bourne movies play Moby-Extreme Ways, however, they are slightly modified for each film.
what about the lil piece when Bourne and the asset speak??? 1 of the most epic parts of the whole trilogy and my fav. in the ultimatum?? track leading to it is "Jason is Reborn" on the soundtrack need help =)
towards the end after he talks with the old man hirsch n he's running to the roof is the track "Jason is reborn" that track leads to this part when the asset has him at gunpoint on the roof is the part im looking for
when bourne says "look at us.. look at what they make you give" classic that's the part i need from there til he ends up back in the water im being mild for those who havent seen it yet lol ya dig??
Trouble is, the very end of the Jason is Reborn track departs greatly with its huge operatic climax, to what was finally chosen to stay in the film. It's probably worth listening to the track again side by side to the rooftop sequence to see the exact point where the final mix diverges from the original score.
You should find it within the first 2 minutes of the lengthy 'Waterloo' track on the Ultimatum OST. That music cue covers Simon Ross leaving Heathrow, the ESCHELON receipt from London to Langley, and the subsequent arrival of Vosen at the NYC HQ.
Also, it only just occurred to me that the start of the 'Waterloo' track is pretty much a faithful reprise of the 'Gathering Data' track from the Supremacy OST, used for when Landy is cracking open the Treadstone case files. So you can take your pick from those.
Oh, and do you know the music that is played when Daniels leaves his apartment in Madrid ( Ultimatum ) which is also played in Bourne Supremacy when Bourne in @ the internet cafe?
Yeah, I know the cue you're talking about. It ends with a sort of sweeping hero-like quality, as Bourne abruptly leaves his seat after seeing the name of the hotel where he killed Neski, and is reprised when Daniels collects his things and leaves. As far as I'm aware, it's not included on either official soundtrack.
I don't interpret the ending to be as melancholic as that.
I actually think it's idealistic that Bourne and Landy, the underdogs, have survived against all odds, and bring members at the top of a corrupt government to justice.
And Bourne finally finds his true self - yes, he discovers that he was willing to cross rather abhorrent moral lines - but at least he's learned the lesson that such roads 'lead to hell'. He's able to step back from the brink of madness, and the change comes from him.
i wonder what programs one uses to create a sequence like this.
i googled the agency, and it seems its based in my city. They had had a job offering as an office intern and the only program it said were required were photoshop, word, and excel.
It really is fantastic. I'll say it again - Paul Greengrass and Christopher Nolan are in my eyes, two Brits that have saved Hollywood from itself. (To be fair - I also think Ridley Scott's Gladiator is a prime example of the studio system actually working - so that sort of makes 3.)
Greengrass probably just wanted to put his stamp on the film. Enough of his crew were from the UK to justify a Best British Film nod from BAFTA. Plus that opening sequence in London is amazing.
One of the few films to capture the true feeling of the city - not some Hollywood chocolate box version with shots of Big Ben and the Eye.
The situation appears to be that Universal have pencilled one in for 2010 and I think both Damon and Greengrass have signed up for it, despite saying they'd put this thing to bed. 3 Oscars and $450m obviously meant no one was walking away from it just yet.
That said, I think the official line is that this will be a final film. And even if they reneged on that, I don't see Greengrass taking it any further. It's currently untitled.
Also, look out for D&G's Green Zone out soon. It sounds great.
Well it works well for the film which optimistically ends a journey of sorts (or at least it would have, if it hadn't bagged 3 Oscars and over 200m quid).
Wow The movie i like it The song aswell = i love The bourne movies and anybody is going to do a better movie ever The best xddd

i wonder what programs one uses to create a sequence like this.
i googled the agency, and it seems its based in my city. They had had a job offering as an office intern and the only program it said were required were photoshop, word, and excel.
i wanna know how i can make something like this.

I just find it funny that in true American style our super spy is a rebel.

Why is there a union jack laced into the credits?

Greengrass probably just wanted to put his stamp on the film. Enough of his crew were from the UK to justify a Best British Film nod from BAFTA. Plus that opening sequence in London is amazing.
One of the few films to capture the true feeling of the city - not some Hollywood chocolate box version with shots of Big Ben and the Eye.

i think the next one is "The Bourne Legacy"

Is there going to be more Bourne movies.
By the way, the movies and the songs are awesome.

The Bourne Redundancy.
I can't believe they're gonna screw up this franchise. Best spy saga ever and theyre gonna "Bond it"(pre Daniel Craig, he rules!!!)

I've proposed The Bourne Tranquility where they leave him the fuck alone for once.

How about one with P-Diddy as Jason
"Bourne: "It aint ovah bitch!!!"

Ha! Sweet. The Mugabe Supremacy - Christ that'd be a violent movie, no way in hell he's making the PG-13.

Hopefully, Greengrass will drop the project if he went on IMDb and read the message boards.

The movie was awesome, but the end credits + this version of the song stuck me as being just as memorable. Great series of action flicks.

I like this version better

Well it works well for the film which optimistically ends a journey of sorts (or at least it would have, if it hadn't bagged 3 Oscars and over 200m quid).
