Thanks. I have to say, that one seems a bit more rounded and fuller like The Bourne Identity/Supremacy font. This one is has some subtle differences in being straighter, thinner and having harder, less rounded edges, almost more, say, 'digital'.

My position has always been : When Greengrass says no, don't do any more. For all the 'ShakyCam Whingers' out there, this is his franchise now. No one creates momentum and immediacy, or strips a script down to its bare essentials like he can. Anyone else will almost certainly be a backward step in my opinion. Tony Gilroy is high risk - mainly a writer with little experience directing at all, let alone action. My guess is his style will be closer to Doug Liman's in Bourne Identity.

Sadly not final after all. Apparently Universal have locked Tony Gilroy to direct #4 - The Bourne Legacy. It's a crafty move because he's written the Bourne films, so already must have a working relationship with Matt Damon, who said he wouldn't return without Paul Greengrass. That makes it more awkward for him to turn it down.

There are three more Bourne novels written by Eric Van Lustbader (I have them here in my room). I think he's also producing another one some time this year. So, realistically, they have plenty of stuff to draw from, but as I said, they haven't been drawing too heavily on Robert Ludlum's envisioning of Jason Bourne anyway. I mean his entire history is completely different, for starters, not to mention the plots of the last two films. : P

There have been a lot of rumors - Matt Damon and Greengrass don't want to do it, they do want to do it, they don't want to do it.

The best answer anyone can really give you is that there may be one, so wait and see. There's enough novel to keep the movies going for the next twenty years, but the truth is, the movies haven't been following the plot of the book very closely since about halfway through The Bourne Identity.

Here's to hoping they make a new one, though!

It ends with a sort of sweeping hero-like quality, as Bourne abruptly leaves his seat after seeing the name of the hotel where he killed Neski, and is reprised when Daniels collects his things and leaves. As far as I'm aware, it's not included on either official soundtrack.

I actually think it's idealistic that Bourne and Landy, the underdogs, have survived against all odds, and bring members at the top of a corrupt government to justice.

And Bourne finally finds his true self - yes, he discovers that he was willing to cross rather abhorrent moral lines - but at least he's learned the lesson that such roads 'lead to hell'. He's able to step back from the brink of madness, and the change comes from him.

Greengrass probably just wanted to put his stamp on the film. Enough of his crew were from the UK to justify a Best British Film nod from BAFTA. Plus that opening sequence in London is amazing.

The situation appears to be that Universal have pencilled one in for 2010 and I think both Damon and Greengrass have signed up for it, despite saying they'd put this thing to bed. 3 Oscars and $450m obviously meant no one was walking away from it just yet.

That said, I think the official line is that this will be a final film. And even if they reneged on that, I don't see Greengrass taking it any further. It's currently untitled.
