The Backsliders at the Narooma Blues Festival 2008

This gig was the first time i had ever heard of the backsliders. Totally blew me away and clearly the highlight of the great southern blues festival for me! Rob hirst is the best drummer going around and he makes the backsliders an even better band!!!

man I love the Backsliders but that drummer from Midnight Oil adds nothing to to the Backsliders sound. Is there such a thing as " overdrumming"?

Last time I saw them live, there was a bloody drum solo, embarrassing to watch and boring to hear!

@westcj I think that yes there is such a thin as overdrumming case we are listening to it here! But then drum solos aren't always boring!

@westcj Mate.......you are talking about God as far i and most of Australia is concerned!!!If you don't like then don't bloody watch it!!Rob Hirst has acheived more musically than most musos so until you know what you are talking about stay off you tube and let us just enjoy watching one of the nicest people ever to grace the australian music scene!!
