Wow, some of those are really Rube Goldberg. But I really like the old fuse panels, as long as they haven't been screwed up over the years by tamperers... Cool video!
wow!you havealot to fix! let me know if you come across a relly old 1950's fuse box please,i am just fasanated by that old tecnolagy and love them.and in your next video, plese do not ad in the annoying arks.
Great vids! Could you explain the color of the thermal gun to help us understand how 'hot' some of these wires are, and what they should be, thanks. Whats normal, whats not temp wise?
Hmm you showed many photos of the old style screw in fuses, breaker boxes.. Hey, that is they way they used to look like. Some of the things you showed in there are kind of strange, accidents waiting to happen. My electronics teacher back in high school said it best, "STAND BACK! WATCH THE FIREWORKS!"
one of the worst things ive seen is my friends dads garage, there was only one plug outhere and it was like a 2 1/2 car garage, so he nailed some outlet boxes to the walls and use exetion cord wire to like five plugs and plugged em into the one outlet...tisk,tisk...did i mention they were only 2 prong cords!
Extension leads are OK to multiple outlets but they should be always 3 core earthed, and I doubt there be enough power for everything so it would of been best to get a electrician in and put in a sub circuit breaker board.
yeah, i did happen before, u know old magicpusher circle breaker at old panel, dryer clother been tripped 6 - 8 times per weeks at 30A double poles, so let me see panel inside, whoa!! it too fucking crazy and old wires insulation been dry, i bought $150 for any parts more safety for my family lol
How much was your thermal camera, and where did you get it? I thought about getting one - mostly to find where I was losing the most heat from my house - but the costs were waaay too high for me.
FlexCam $15,000 four years ago, and now owned by Fluke. Price has dropped to about $7,000-$12,000. Do not use it as much as I used to. I took 60,000 photos and now can almost walk into a home and figure everything out in 20 minutes. It all about upper house positive pressure through "thermal bypass" caused by duct leakage.
Don't feel bad most homes have some electical problems. My elevtrical panel cover has been off for the last two years. I cannot find it, --- go figure. I think is was moved into our filled-up attic. Have to clean the attic first.
Thanks for sharing this! It helps to show everyone just how dangerous electrical problems can be if they are ignored. I saw one photo with four panels in the basement. Why 4 panels?! A 200-300 amp panel should clear up the dangeous mess. Again, thanks for posting this video. Keep up the good work!
Hey Zgubs~ The Music is Awsome! how did you put the blue sparks in it.? ( How about some °F readings on the Red areas in relation for a heat reference #)
To bad I am not a musician. I would love to create my own music if I could. My daughters are taking piano. Hopefully someday, they can provide me with good original video music. Until then, thank you COLDPLAY for creating a great tune. This is a great band. SPARKS are in the cheap movie program that I use.

Whoa! That image where someone replaced the fuses with pieces of conductor... scary. Didn't think anyone would be stupid enough to do that.
