But I must say that Crytek had to explore new textures. And large cities was the best thing for it. Unfortunately, the vegetation has remained the same and is not convincing.

you do have to realise though that the higher end textures do take up space, and therefore take longer to load, meanign you need not onyl a card to support it, but a good ram to get it there.

PCs are a generation ahead of consoles. Consoles lack processing power compared to the PC. DirectX has a massive improvement over consoles - i.e DX11

Reason why playstation 3 would take such a long time to load is because the hard drive it has only spins at 5600 RPM, while most computer hard drives these days spin at 7200-10000.
