to clear up anything anyone has said about the campus police...campus and Charlotte police knew about this ahead of time. so did the library staff and faculty. they were all fine with it and had no opposition to it happening. they gave us permission to do it. the police were there as a precaution just in case something happened, which it did not, and to make sure the capacity for the library was not exceeded by too much.

Also...I really doubt that YOUR money, putting every year you pay taxes to the state of NC, even comes close to the amount we spend on OUR tuition. Number three...Students VOLUNTEERED to clean up after the event. NOT staff. I know this because I helped organize this event and myself and a few of my friends who helped with the event helped to clean up afterwards. Other students also pitched in.

Number four...injuries can happen on a day to day basis. Driving to campus, to work, etc. This was kept under control by everyone. All of the students were mature bout it and kept it clean and safe.

I think you need to relax. The same thing was done at my school, UNC-Chapel Hill, a couple of weeks ago. It is pretty much the same idea as a flash mob. It didn't last long, it's not violent, it's finals week, and everyone is stressed out. And how might things be damaged? They are in the lobby. Also, no one is forcing you to be a part of it nor watch it. Clearly you think of the worst possible scenario in every situation, which is probably why you weren't involved.
