Ya know johnny (from the goo goo dolls) and Paul make a good writing team, I love We ARe The Normal, good stuff!!My best friend and I always fight over Paul sounding like Johnny fr the goo goo dolls and Which band is better... Don't tell a soul I agree with him :P
this is the most underrated band The 'mats should of blown and stayed at the top!!! -3
Was it this show, pretty loaded myself!! No more concerts at the speedway, the stage was dismantled a couple of years ago. They ran some great shows there in the day.
This is is TRUE rock n f'n roll. Great Song, they rock, They're hammered, someones yellin "One More!" so maybe it's the end of the show. This is what you pay for and it's worth it.
If you don't like Paul drunk at the shows then you simply don't like The Replacements. That's kinda like saying "I like how Kiss sounds but I don't like all the make-up they wear". Quit being such pussies
this is truly sad to watch. i love paul..but.. he was definitely playing to the bottle and not his muse during this performance. still love the mats!!!!
I've seen them twice, in Champaign, not sure the year, and in Austin, and I would say this performance is better than the Champaign concert by quite a bit, not sure what you all are complaining about.
Ever notice somebody black spray painted on the Marshall amplifier so that it reads Mars?
i'm sure their live concerts are good and i'm sure that this one was great
only this video's quality is a bit bad...no offense..sorry...but usually the professional camera men have the best videos..too bad i couldnt find any =/
I saw The Replacements in April 1989 at The Boathouse in Norfolk, VA. We had just completed a deployment (Navy) to the North Atlantic & had a 6 month Meditteranean/Indian Ocean cruise on the horizon. This was the 1st of 5 concerts that I would see before going home on leave to SC & returning to my command for deployment. Did anyone else catch the Don't Tell a Soul tour? Post if you did.
This in not a good video. The studio version of the song is great.........Does anyone out there have an upload of the studio version? If so, please, please, please upload it for us!!!
These guys are notorious for giving awful live performances though. Too bad, because they're the type of band that COULD sound awesome live, if only they got their shit together.
This was opening for Tom Petty

Drunk is one thing, he's looking and sounding a little too coked up on this one. Not a big stretch of the imagination for that band at an L.A. gig.

This is Paul at his worst; he's drunk. Yeah. He's sometimes a waste of genius.

Saw them on this tour... Was 15, and wished I were older so I could've seen them in their prime!
