I hate to see you giving up riding, but no one know's yourself better than you. Everything happens for a reason, and if giving up riding is what you need for yourself right now then do it for yourself. Everything will work out in the end, I truly hope you the best in whatever you decide to do. And maybe your heart will lead you back to horses one day, if not at least you got to enjoy many wonderful years with them already.

I hate watching this, watching an incredible rider waste her talent and give up as if it wasn't there. I mean, I have no right to tell you this and one person won't change your mind but you're doing something very very stupid. You are to me; and a whole bunch of others; inspiring, talented, amazing, stunning, sensible, smart, incredible and those arent even a quarter of half the things you are. But, if you give up riding you're breaking the promise you made to us, not said, but meant.

Hardly think it's fair to call these"stupid," especially as you know pretty much nothing behind it's origin. She didn't promise you lot anything. Just a girl who rode, and now it's not working out. Ellie is talented at other things aside from riding and is talented in other spheres. Try supporting her instead of bringing her down.

I just can't believe that after everything, the bond with your horse, your talent and ability, and your passion, you are just giving up riding.I am not in the same position, and I don't know your situation, but I have had troubles that almost led me to make the same desicion (I have joint disease/type of juvinelle arthritis, dont wanna get into it) but when I went and looked at my horse, I realized that it is my passion. I am not trying to make you change your mind, just look at what your doing

i have also thought about quitting riding and what i could do with the extra money but i decided that quitting riding would be a big mistake for me and nothing could replace that hole in my heart if i stopped

Going to waste, I know it's not that you cba, but Zenny... there's no words to explain how much it would make me cry if you have to give up on him. Honestly, this has made me sad! :( You are one of my favourite riders on the whole of youtube, and your bond with Zenny is so natural and beautiful - not fake and contrived like many people on youtube who claim to have such a bond with their horse. they dont come close to you and Zenny! you are very brave...i made the same choice as you but wer not giving up..so try not to see it like that! once you learn how to ride it is something youll never forget! the choice to ride will always be there and in the future who know you may take it up again but its best to leave on a note where you decide to give up not that you have to! youve done zenny proud! all the best with your future ellie! :) xxxx

I gave up riding at the end of 2009, and decided to reassess in Feb of 2010. Tbh, it was one of the best things I have done, giving it up for those 3+ months because it made me realize just how much I loved it so I ended up going back. It might not work out the same way for you, but I hope it does because you are an amazing rider. Just keep your mind and your options open xx
It's just.....I've pondered just giving up and leaving. Leaving the barn, leaving Ruby, just going home and never coming back. But I know, in my heart, that it's the only place where I will feel at home. Of course you will regret it, riding was such a big part of your life, you'll never forget it. But you either move forward, or move backwards. 100% your decision.

I'm really sorry to hear this! but maybe its the right thing to do.. i mean maybe your horses are not the ones who needed a break, maybe is you... and i'm telling you this, because its exactly what happened to me. and i tell you what no one nerver completelly quits riding.. this is really sad.... i just want to thank you for turning my baby into such a beast, Maisie would be nothing like she is if it wasn't for you and i thank you for that! i know i changed her name to Clio, but she will always be the Maisie that you produced, your an amazing rider and im going to miss watching your videos and seeing your silly photos all the time, Again i cant thank you enough and i wish you all the best in whatever you decide to do lots of love Naomi and moose! ;D <3 xxxxxxxx

I'm really sorry to hear this! but maybe its the right thing to do.. i mean maybe your horses are not the ones who needed a break, maybe is you... and i'm telling you this, because its exactly what happened to me. and i tell you what no one nerver completelly quits riding.. You can always come back to it whenever you feel like its the right time ;) Horses will never judge you.
