So what happens when you finish after 30 hours? It doesn't count? Obviously they are not going to phyically pull those last people in the video off the course when they can still get to the finish line themselves, even if it isn't recorded. I dont' get this.

@misterzonker2584 You get a big DNF on the results page, and you don't get a finishers' belt buckle. Basically it feels like a big failure. Although I'm sure the 30:00:01 guys don't agonize over it TOO badly, they sure do come back to try again!

Good luck buddy. Just did my first marathon this year at 33. Doing my 2nd in October and hopefully my first ultra (well, 39.3 miles) in April. Leadville is the dream but I won't be telling the wife until it's too late for her to stop me!

I did a marathon with 300 people and it seemed desolate at times, I can't imagine a 100 mile race with 600 people :/
