My elemental shaman in 4/5 relentless, and 1/5 wrathful with all wrathful misc item has 3,2k spell dmg with totems up, and i crit max 5k in arena, and everyone has 30k+ hp.

What kind of battlegroup are you playing in where people at 2.1k rating get crited for 9k by an elemental shaman. All noobs with 500 resiliance probably. In my battlegroup, at 1500 rating you dont meet people with less than 1100 resiliance, and you can do whatever you want, but you wont crit more than 5-6k. And why does my character's class mechanic make me a noob? Get a life.

On 1800+ rating (at least in my battlegroup) all the people have over 1100, some resto shamans over 1300, so how are you going to crit 9k on them? My shaman has 3,4k spell dmg with totems and flamethoungue, and max crit you can get on well geared people is 5-6k.

-Instant entangling roots? 15 sec cd. Druid have no cd, and do more dmg as moonkins.

-Best spell interupts in game? Ok, that is probably true.

-Insane burst? Yes, against people who dont have resiliance. In arena? No.

-Hero? Its fine.

-Mana efficient. Not more efficient than mage, lock, priest. They can all get mana back when they want, just like shaman.

Along side of best spell interuppts. They can misdirect spells via Grounding Totem.

The shamans and any friendly arena members can be immune to fear via Tremor totem.

Cleansing totem - Gets rid of Poisons/diseases, very useful against rogues/Death Knights.

Purge - Dispells 2 magic buffs off enemy target.

I think that's all i have to cover to show, that a good shaman, has many advantages in arena.. True Boomkins can probably do more burst, but they aren't as versatile.

Rogue are annoying, If they can sap you( they shouldnt be able to because of ur totems), you have 2 choices.

1: wait for the sap to go and see ur partner getting gangbanged.

2: trinket the sap, and get blinded, see ur partner getting gangbanged.

If you're the target and you trinket the sap, ur dead. If you wait for the kidney shot and trinket it, its a blind and they'll go for ur partner. If you decide to keep the trinket for the blind. you will be dead before it comes.
