roddy piper is pretty uneducated about that, snuka could do a splash off the top rope night after night, the biggest thing snuka ever did was the dive off the cage onto muraco, when you compare that to HIAC KOTR 98 the two are not even in the same stratosphere
@anyoneformoney Exactly Foley had a long career and had hundreds of extremely intense matches, not just one. Piper is a giant tool for saying that. And foley didn't start backyard wrestling. That is absurd. So piper is wrong about that as well.
As much as I dig Piper he's full of shit here. Backyard wrestling has been around as long as there's been someone stupid enough to do it, I believe the Hardys were into that shit waaay before the Dude Love video got played on WWF TV! Also, he should know the difference between a timed, practiced splash [from however high] and a much less controlled bump from what, 15 feet up? But nope, he has to be a douche about this. I don't get why.
well the thing is when this was filmed roddy was in a BAD STATE...like he just had a negitive outlook on it all ...much like hogans over rated ass.one thing no one really holds to roddy is he had to take the biggest heat as being one of if not the biggest heal ever.
You know if you hear some of the old wrestlers talking about Roddy they make it sound like he is a bitch and that is ashame and surprising but now that i think about it he came off really tough but i didn't see him jump off on top of cage or take too many chair shots or even put his body on the line like foley fuck Roddy he is a dam bitch!!
Yeah mic may not have jumped off a cage every night. But he was the only guy taking chair shots to the head night after night. And like 17 chair shots in one night in the I quit match with the rock. Mic took the most punishment of any body that has ever been in the wwe/wwf. His injuries are much more than just one bump off of a cell.
yeah i agree with everyone on this, piper is wrong and jealous. Foley took MANY and i mean MANY bumps in his career. Snuka just did that splash every night. so what, other than that Foley was better in the ring than Snuka anyday.
plain and simple, foley is one of the best wrestlers in history. for his sacrifice, dedication, and pure will. the man is a legend, the old timers in wwe are very jealous of him obviously. if and when he is inducted into the hall of fame, i will be there in person to see it. and as he verbally shits in their faces, i will take great pride in him for his great career. want a stuntman, go find jackie chan you fuckin bitches.
yea mick was stupid for doing that.. dominic is a really really good friend of mine he lives a few miles from my house.. if you live in pennsylvania tomorrow night he will be in franklin with bruno..
He is a stuntman. His stunts got him more over than anything. If I say "Mick Foley" to any wrestling fan, most of the time you get his bump off the cage. SECONDARILY he was a great promo/storyline guy, and third he's a great in ring wrestler, but his MAIN ability, if you call it that, is bumping. He is great at promos though, but w/o big bumps, he wouldn't be as popular.

Roddy here reminds me of his WWE DVD...he seems to confuse real life with kayfabe...he knows he's full of crap and is trying to work us.

Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka was way ahead of his time. A pioneer.
I like Foley, aways did. But Foley isnt even in the same city, non-the-less in the same ballpark as the Superfly.
No comparison. Superfly much > than Foley.

Thats not Bruno, thats Dominic DeNucci, I think.
Piper is wrong about Foley just doing it once, jumping to the outside was his finisher in WCW, pretty much what they showed in the clip with Snuka.
KOTR stands out because of the timing of the fall, it was so blatently brutal. Thats exactly what Mick wanted to happen, good psychology.

That was interesting. Domonic is right when he says Mick Foley is sick to take that bump of the top of the cage.
