@zyhrArA I got it about a month after it came out for $150 I believe. It was worth it at the time. However they are phones now out for tmobile that are 2+ times better and are about the same price. I believe the going price for this device on contract is $50 or they are discontinued.

Ishould I get this? Please answer from experience... I'm a junior in high school and I desperately need a phone to keep up with me. I already have an itouch 4 and I REALLY don't want a blackberry (everyone has one, it's annoying) thx.

@millshan1 Only get it if you are buying it cheap w/o a contract. BUT if you are getting the phone through Tmobile by upgrading your contract I recommend getting a newer phone. If price is not a concern get the Sensation but if you are not looking to spend alot then go with the Vibrant, or the MyTouch 4G. Give me some more details about your situation so I can point in the right direction.

@minakelliny This phone is way BETTER than the Behold 2. Behold 2 was killed the day it came out because they refused to upgrade the OS. Hope I helped.

@minakelliny No problem. I would have to say yes you could. I am able to connect with my Nexus One(my phone is older) to my computer which is running Windows 7 64bit. I dont own the MyTouch Slide anymore but I know people with it. So I will ask them just to confirm.

@thentantt No you do not. But you will need a data plan to start it up. You can always use someone elses sim card that has a data plan. after that you can use your own sim card.

3- are u able to change the wallpaper? lol cuz the bird pic int eh bg is kinda creepy.

1) Yes they are threaded

2) Data is needed to start up the phone but not needed after that.

3) Yes you are able to change password

yeah i just got the phone n tmobile told me that without the internet the phone would freeze up that txt sendng calls n shit would be laggy n shit so i was wondering if that was true if so who wakes up one day n decides to make a phone that only works on 3g i hat tmobile now sooo much

@ericluc13 Na everything should work fine. You should get your text messages just fine but you might have problems with MMS since if I am not mistaken that needs data network to work. You can always use the WiFi to get onto the internet.

@ericluc13 ohh also forgot to mention that you do need a data plan to start up the phone(login info). So what you can do is use someones sim card that has data and enter you information then when the phone is good to go switch out the sim cards.

@androiduser2008 the wifi on the g1 does not work without the data service from tmobile, which is stupid as hell if you ask me, i mean whats the point in having wifi if you can't use it without the data service, anyways, is this phone the same when it comes to wifi

@lovelydiva06 The wifi will work as soon as you get the phone "Activated" which takes a data plan. But after that you can get the Wifi to work fine. If you do not want the data plan just find someone that has a data plan already and use their sim card to activate your phone.

@xX808Sp0njAAhXx You need web if you are getting the phone with a new plan or an upgrade. Tmobile requires you to get the data plan with the phone. Now if you pay full price($429) then you do not have to get the data plan. For that much money I would buy a Nexus One lol. If you can find an employee that will give you a new plan or upgrade and not add the data plan than by all means take it but finding someone that will do that will be hard(I would assume).

@Diabolic845 I tried looking for an on/off switch but no luck. I did however can across that it is operated through the light sensor. Next what I am going to do is look for an application that can help with this IF there is one.

@Diabolic845 Oh not at all, these are good questions. Dont even worry about it. But ya the light stays on til the phone falls asleep of the light senor feels that there is enough light out there that it doesnt need to turn on the backlight.
