2:00 The DVD movies that I think does the wide/fullscreen right is the Evil Dead 1,2, and 3. You just go to the menu, go to options, and pick if you want the movie widescreen or fullscreen. THAT's the easiest way, in my opinion, instead of making the DVD flipside. I do agree with the run-time part. If's it a TV show DVD collection, like the Alfred Hitchcock series WHY THE HELL would you add up run-time's of ALL the episodes, like the Nerd says,that's bullshit. And the VHS tapes, I agree 100%.

I don't know whether it's the system I have, or the tape, but I have never heard a dialling sound when I watch a tape. And for those who just leave their dvd's on the floor, on the table, or anywhere other than the case, consider this. I have several DVD's at my house, and since we got our first set of dvd's and our first dvd player, we have only had to replace 4 DVD's, and it was because of problems with the disc when we bought it. Once we replaced those discs, they were just fine.

What I always thought would've been a great idea is to list the genre of the movie in the little box on the back of the case where it usually has the run time, aspect ratio etc. Therefore if the store is having a DVD sale & I find something that looks interesting, I can look on the back & read for example: "Genre: Action" so then I know that it's something I'll like instead of me buying, putting it in the DVD player & finding out it's a romance comedy.

This happened to me when I buyed the Batman movie box ( Th Burton and Sculmacer ) And they mixed it up ! In the Batman case it was the Batman and Robin movie ! In Batman returns it was Batman Forever , in Batman Forever it was Batman Returns and in Batman and Robin was Batman ! THATS BULLSHIT !!!!!!
Correct, what's even worse is when there's a crossover film, example Freddy vs Jason, great film but which series do you file it under, Friday the 13th or Nightmare on Elm Street. I prefer Box Sets because it's the easiest way to get all or most of the movies in a franchise, but for the love of god get every studio that has made or owns a movie for that franchise on board before releasing a box set

To me the best box sets: Have all the movies, uncut, on indvidual disks, in seperate trays or cases, not theatrical cut, on double sided disks and definatally not stacked on top of each other

You know what's Bullshit: Double Sided DVDs. Yes they make DVDs and Box Sets cheaper, but when you have a Box Set that has Double Sided DVDs (The Univeral Legacy Sets for example) if one side of those Double sided DVDs get scratched your entire set is ruined. The worst I've seen is my copy of Green Berets, they couldn't fit the entire movie and the bonus features on one side??? They had to give us a DVD that you have to fli half way through???

This happened to me when I buyed the Batman movie box ( Th Burton and Sculmacer ) And they mixed it up ! In the Batman case it was the Batman and Robin movie ! In Batman returns it was Batman Forever , in Batman Forever it was Batman Returns and in Batman and Robin was Batman ! THATS BULLSHIT !!!!!!

Correct, what's even worse is when there's a crossover film, example Freddy vs Jason, great film but which series do you file it under, Friday the 13th or Nightmare on Elm Street. I prefer Box Sets because it's the easiest way to get all or most of the movies in a franchise, but for the love of god get every studio that has made or owns a movie for that franchise on board before releasing a box set

Like DVDs I despise when a Blu-Ray Box Set has movies missing or worse they release a Box Set that has the Rated Verson of a movie but not the unrated verson. To me the best box sets: Have all the movies, uncut, on indvidual disks, in seperate trays or cases, not theatrical cut, on double sided disks and definatally not stacked on top of each other

You know what's Bullshit. Emulators. These need to die and never come back. Not only are people using them to avoid paying for games, but they use savestates all the way through the game to make it easier. That is bullshit, because a lot of the skill in playing older games comes from dealing with the lack of save points. Seriously, I have seen people save in the middle of a boss battle. And that... is BULLSHIT.

don't get me wrong, I like collecting, but sometimes people take it way too far. no video game or DVD is worth more than, say, 50 € to me. and I'm german, so unless I was rich, I wouldn't have a chance to get some original games on say, NES if emulators didnt exist.

You know what's Bullshit: Double Sided DVDs. Yes they make DVDs and Box Sets cheaper, but when you have a Box Set that has Double Sided DVDs (The Univeral Legacy Sets for example) if one side of those Double sided DVDs get scratched your entire set is ruined. The worst I've seen is my copy of Green Berets, they couldn't fit the entire movie and the bonus features on one side??? They had to give us a DVD that you have to fli half way through???

you know guys to be honest i think the vhs should have won the war with dvd a long time ago and heres why,one dvds are a bigger hassle than vhs i mean with dvds you have to take extra caution so the dvds cannot get scratched but despite of me taking good care of them most of got scratched anyway and most of my dvds dont work anymore while ironically most of my vhs tapes STILL work to this day,(continued)
