I met Tom Everett Scott during a shoot of one of his films a few years back (I was an extra). He's a nice guy.

What I like about this song is that it really does sound like it could be a one hit wonder of the '60s.

I don't know if that's deliberate but as a former radio jock who tried to give it air time. As a single it did sort of fall flat.

Yes to all. And this thread is just scratching the surface. This movie has so many '60s tongue-in-cheek idiosyncracies, deliberate and accidental. Everything from beach parties to Hard Day's Night, Beatlesque frenzies to label-sponsored go-go dancing rock n roll roadshows (predating stadium concerts). etc etc For musicians, the subtle "upgrade" from Silvertone to Fender equipment is not lost either. Well done!

love this movie, god this trailer sucks. edits are bad, they make it seem like faye is guy's girlfriend. as i say i love this movie, lenny's my favorite and steve zahn gives the best performance. obviously since he's had more hit movies than everyone else, but hanks.maybe it was hard to make a good trailer about a movie with almost no story. it's just the rise and fall of a one hit wonder band
