On Thursday I was talking with one of my former teachers and he told me that in class one of the shows he's going to show is Battlestar Galactica. Wish I was in THAT class this semester. Thing is he's seen all of the episodes up to Revelations, but DIDN'T EVEN KNOW that the series finalie was happening or basic information that's been revealed since then such as who the final cylon is.

Nah. At some stage they will loop back into the past and for some reason have to create the mythology that lays the trail to the colonies and back for the next cycle. A supernova is not a cooincidence :-)

My girlfriend watches this show with me and she asked me the exact same question. However, you have to consider that even though their humans, they evolved entirely separate from those on earth, so of course their going to be more advanced in some areas and more backward in others. Apparently they havent come up with a colonial solution to a missing leg....other then a peg, with a shoe on the end.
