Dan Patrick actually loves Howard Stern. He actually sat in the audience for the finals of Stern's World's Meanest Listener contest back in like 2002 or 2003 or so. Even if you listen to DP's current talk show, it's kind of the sports version of Howard Stern, all the way down to McLovin as a Bababooey type.
