Top fuckin draw fellas. Love it. The dining chairs are nice as well. How about some more Roses up there? ANother good one for you would be Chasin Rainbows by Shed Seven. NNNNNNNNNNice OOOOOnnnneee
Very good indeed. I'm certain that there is a film somewhere that is crying out for this cover as part of it's soundtrack, it definitely has a big screen feel about it.
guys, your cover is absolutely outstanding, with a friend we just uploaded a slow version of this song also but with only one guitar, would love it if you had a look. Your version is really extraordinary
Why thanks deanpeterclarke that would be really good. We totally love the Roses - as big a part in the history of music as the Beatles and Stones, in our humble opinions
Techincally speaking it was all very good. But I cant help thinking that the lyrics and tone of the original requiring a snarling and resentful vocal. It was a bit like Enya doing Cigarettes and Alcohol.
I never normally write on these comment sections but felt necessary after seeing this wonderful version- straight out the top draw. Any chance you could cover Waterloo sunset by the kinks
Gentlemen...have been raving to all about this since I heard it. Most mellow and superbly arranged and executed. Everyone who hears it thinks it's the dogs danglers. Thumbs up!
How about a cover of Going Down or She Bangs the Drums? I reckon you'd have the making of both, no bother!!
Totally agree with gazadub. This is my all time favourite song (and i have many) but this is the greatest piece of rock ever. And you made it so diffrent but brilliant. It really works. You 2 fellas should be proud- that's a great cover of a flawless song.
wow this blew me away , the original is 1 of my favorite tunes of all time and I've heard countless covers , but this is just so different and it works ...thanx :)
Just listened again and this is really good, totally different vibe to the original but yet it really works. Your playing and singing is excellent! do you have she bangs the drums?!
The start sounds like Just Looking by the Stereophonics, esp that chord change at 0.16..."there's things I want....there's things I think I want"....!!
But apart from that, really good! Sound is a bit off though
Great cover lads, this song suits that melody very well, I've done a slightly different cover of a stone roses track check it out if you have time. Well done
Beautifuly done guys, never expected this and was totally blown away by it!! I love the Stone Roses being from where there from and gettin caught up in the whole Madchester thing back in the day...this is kinda bringin the curtain down on that generation, almost soundtrack like. Wonderful;)
thanks mudman that's a really nice feedback - makes it all worthwhile :-)
Can you think of any other tracks from the Madchester era (where were you in 92?) we could cover. We got some Oasis and we are both massive fans of that whole Madchester sound. Happy to take requests! We play in Midlands, Lincs - so if you are from round there and know of good music pubs we could play let us know. All the best
I guess other obvious choices from that period would be The Charlatans "The Only One I know" Any Stone Roses especially "Waterfall" and maybe Northside "Shall We Take a Trip" In answer to ya question i'm from Manchester (well Salford). Keep up the great work fella's:)
Ya right sid they did'nt want to be associated with it, but had no choice since they themselves had created it...it was only when everyone else jumped on the bandwagon that they wanted to get off, just thought i'd mention that;)
really good such a haunting song when it comes down to it, do you guys have a band ?
