  • Why is it that I'm NEVER scared by these kinds of logos that everyone's scared of. WGBH? Lyrick Studios? Walt Disney Home Video? I don't get what's so scary about them!

  • "It's the Muppet Show with our very special guest Mr. Steve Martin! YAAAAAY!"

  • JohnnyL80, the only Windmills Of The Gods movie i remember was the one with Jaclyn Smith and Robert Wagner based on the Sidney Sheldon novel and that movie was not until the 1980's, not the 1970's

  • I Wrote, Arranged & Played 'lead-Trumpet' on this TV music-ID, whilst in an army band@ 17. Bernard Brown, of "Penny-Lane" fame, referred me. I was ripped-off! No royalties/ residuals but, I earnt $400 in cash, whilst my army-wages were equivalent to $24 pw. So, i felt like a millionaire at the time: $400!

  • Always will remind me of The Prisoner :)

  • One of the most underrated logos. Very pretty and beautiful. Shame about the music. But then, maybe the music provides a nice unexpected contrast.

  • OMG, the V of doom is a pussycat compared to this!

  • I just got a CBS/FOX VHS of The Eagle Has Landed but unfortunately there was no ITC Rainbow Top logo at the start at all, it just went right to the movie. How come the CBS/FOX releases of ITC movies had no rainbow top at all?

  • I always associated this with the beginning of "The Muppet Show" back in the day

  • And then of course, that kick ass UFO theme song.

  • This always came on just before Gerry Anderson's UFO, back in the day.

  • The only thig missing is my Mom yelling, "Hey kids!...."Space 1999" is starting"!

  • @Dimension150 Great memory, I remember this logo preceeding Space 1999 and I would run to the tv with snacks in hand for a great hour of sci-fi!!

  • ringtone yes!

  • I don't care what came on after this logo, it's one of the coolest! I just wish it was longer!!!

  • "a playground merry-go-round from h. e. double hockey sticks."

  • I remember when I was 4 years old seeing this and expecting to watch the Muppet Movie....but instead I got Patrick McGowan as "The Prisoner".

  • @apl175 I expected to see this logo at the start of the CBS/FOX VHS tape of Love And Bullets from 1989 but instead it went straight to the movie with no ITC logo at all. Has anyone else noticed that?

  • As a kid in America when I heard this on the TV, I knew the "Thunderbirds" were on their way!

  • @tallpaul521 and "The Muppet Show" too.

  • @southpaw2k1 Yes indeed!!!

  • @southpaw2k1: I'm American so I ONLY associate this with "The Muppet Show."

  • Did The Evil That Men Do ever use the ITC Spinning Diamonds logo or not?

  • This is actually a later variation of the Spinning Diamonds. The first iteration I saw, the ITC logo comes up front and center on the screen, with the words "Presents" coming up below it.

  • obvious prelude to the death star.... the dreaded spinning mutli-colored diamonds of death...i still like the 60's version..that music does command attention.:)

  • What are those things spining around?

  • Diamonds

  • The three different shapes that the I-T-C are in.
