@NeroKoso boats have to be heavier in the back, to some degree, to keep the bow above the water/waves. Engines are heavy, they go in the back. There would also be other handling and performance issues with an engine in front.

There are racing lifevest with parachutes attached to them for racing in open cockpit boats. Mainly the car engine open cockpit drag boats use these.

Hey RatkoUSA, the problem with those hulls is that they design to support the engine only for the begining of the ride, once they reach a certain speed only the propeller's in the water so the hull become a problem as it's facing the laws of air and not water anymore.
