i am from pakistan and i can tell u this: There aint no thick , swampy, gator infested, jungles in here like the way they show from the airplane. Nevertheless the game is epic !!! i wish big boss was a real character. he would have been a super inspiration.

U say that cuz of well apart from the awesome game it is from the awesome SOUNDTRACK 2 the soundtrack is from harry gregsom williams, i know a few movies that he worked like Deja Vu and Phone booth, u should search the OST from those movie, they have like the same rythm and this compositor did the COD4 soundtrack tu (Call of duty 4) His soundtracks are awesome i think im a soldier in a airplane or sometyhing like that listen him xD.

just thought i'd add a late bit to the snake debate. Hideo Kojima admits that solid snake/big boss character developments are based on Snake pliskin, hence the resemblence in appearance, attitude and the cameo of names pliskin + snake in the games. He also states that he loves the aspects of "escape from NY/LA" where snake always gets screwed over by his officials, hence as you may notice, almost every MGS snake/boss gets f*cked over pretty much everytime.

Mgs has already been a film made off the first metal gear on the gameboy, and it was crap, its called Escape from New York, it has Kurt Russell in it and the lead character is called Snake Pliskin and he is sent on an espionage missio9n with a virus going to kill him in a certain time, sound familiar. I think MGS for the playstation was based on the film

It IS Snake because they call him Snake. He's not Solid Snake though, he's Naked Snake. Nonetheless, Snake is a codename, so if they call him that and he acknowledges it as his codename, then it IS his codename.
