I miss my '79. Mine is a California car, so it was saddled with the Olds 403 and an automatic. Hard-top, standard steelies and no chrome exhaust tips. Other then those differences, these two are twins.

It can be, i purchased a 91' Camaro with T-tops about 3 years ago, its been kept outside in Indiana, hot summers and freezing winters, when i first got it it didnt leak one bit but after a few winters you do get a few drops while its raining, its not much though, i was impressed how well they held up, everyone i talked too said T-tops were a nightmare for leaking but ive never had much of a problem, id imagine if one kept a T-top car garaged they would never leak

If the shaker says T/A 6.6 it should be the Pontiac 400 engine. I remember when the 79's came out and Road and Track did a test on a new 79 with the 400 and 4 speed. It was fast for the time, and looked even better.

Bran247 i would say its probably the 400 4 speed because they didn't make the 403 olds in manual it was strictly automatic. oh and really nice car man! we used to have the 403 olds with the rally wheels with that color. it's sick!
