MJ was avoiding the doubles and traps. He'd dribble AWAY, he'd fadeAWAY, if they cut him off he stopped and popped, he acted before they arrives, he moved the ball to keep the defense honest. He also set up his defender beautifully.

One of the most underrated aspects of Michael's game is his movement without the ball. The guy was incredibly good at getting free. That's partly why he got open shots.
