who the fuck cares if m.i.t is loaded with asians and they used caucasions... its a fucking movie and it requires acting and we know asians are only good in pornos right .....right...lol
MY FAVORITE BITS: Furthermore, the real MIT students were all Asian-Americans. Whereas here, they're mostly played by Caucasian actors. Studio executives call this strategy "creating box office bankability," which does sound a lot better than racism.
....
Hollywood executives, I apologize for calling you racist because, apparently, nobody does care! So, keep on trucking!
I take it you're being sarcastic, but, honestly, not that many times. It's a great skill that I have. I can read or hear things once and repeat it, verbatim.
The original MIT Blackjack team weren't ALL Asian. It was actually pretty diverse.
The three main characters upon which the book was based were indeed Asian. That said, I think this movie was a missed opportunity to cast Asian-Americans in non-stereotypical leading roles.
Producers claim to have selected the best actors for the job, regardless of race. But this meant passing over Asian-American talents in favor of London-born Jim Sturgess, who required a dialect coach to speak American English
And, of course, you know the producers are full of B.S. They want to have a white guy in the lead. I'm surprised they had Asian-Americans at all. Right now, it's OK to make fun of Asians on TV, on radio, and not just mock them, but to say blatantly racist things about them, and get away with it. I also deal with such crap at work and elsewhere. They say things they would never say, for example, about blacks. Hollywood's always ready to cast WHITE, but find reasons to not cast minority.
Funny but sad. I hope you were being sarcastic at the end of the clip. I linked this videoclip in the Facebook group "Boycott 21". Check it out if you get a chance.
