your 1st part of burma's history is wrong, please get your facts right,Aun San was killed by Galone U saw not Ne Win, dacade later in 1962, he took over Burma, and the hell broke lose.
Of the research I have done, it still seems inconclusive of who exactly killed Aung San and i am interested in learning where your information comes from and who Galone U Saw was. Do historians now know? I had less than ten minutes to put together a very quick synopsis of a very complex history that I admit with all humility, I only know general "facts"
Your 1st part of history was completely wrong, please go back study Burmese's history first, and then make your comments, I know your intention is good, but you have the facts wrong !
Thanks for realizing my intentions, at least, are in the right place. I'm not a historian, just another human being who cares, but I believe you are incorrect in saying that my "1st part of history is completely wrong". Completely means nothing in what I said resembles the "truth" which is inaccurate.
Wow! very interesting, thanks, but he stated at the end, " We may never know who really killed Aung San". This means it is still inconclusive. The point here is taken though, that Ne Win seems to have had nothing to do with Aung Sans Death. Unfortunately I am unable to re-edit this video, but I will update what I say in the future.
It is quite an amazing thing going on right now. We are hoping that this does not end like tien'imin square where no political change occurred. The best we can do is keep burma in the public eye
At time of election in 1990, the military leader name was "Saw Maung" Than Shwe is recent stupid military leader after Saw Maung. FREE BURMA, REMEMBER Myanmar is not official name of that country. Burma is official name.
Thanks for the insight, I'll look into it. It is my understanding that the country was called Myanmar before the british took it over. At that time it was changed to Burma Also, I am confused as to how you are suggesting the transfer of power occured. do you believe Ne win stepped down and Saw Maung took his place? I remember reading that Than Shwe was part of Ne wins top officials. All the protests began to gain momentum under Ne win and Than Shwe took over.
When the British mussled their way into the region, I don't believe they had the authority to change the name to Burma either. Historically speaking though, they did and there wasn't an international community to say something. Times are different. 1990 was a statement that the people of Burma were ready for the N.L.D. who would most likely change the name back to myanmar primarily because the N.L.D respects the political process and human rights, the S.P.D.C do not.
I am with you painfully honest. We may never know who really killed Aung San or President Kennedy. Who knows Ne Win might have hired some one to kill Aung San but U Saw was fall guy for that. Sometimes we have the history of the history and it is all politics.
yeah, so its fate that i found this movie, i was waiting to upload a movie, and apparently you were doing the same thing, and i saw this video on the recently uploaded page....creepy! Its very good! You are awesome! Oh by the way, this is your cousin, Jen, in Chicago! hope to see you soon!
It is good that at least painfullyhonest explains about Burma to the world!
