  • I just stopped by to say you don't know how to spell, the word is "heretic", and according to Scripture you are. Changing the meaning of plain, Biblical terms is wrong. Moderate alcohol consumption is the godly view. You do not have His view on alcohol.

  • Daily eating of food can lead to gluttony. How about actually reading your Bible for a change-"Bless the Lord, O my soul! O Lord my God, You are very great . . . And (God makes) WINE that makes glad the heart of man, . . ." (Psalm 104:1, 15, NKJV)

  • @Victornotvictim77 A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject;

Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.

    Titus 3:10,11

  • thanks alot tired of hearing excuses

  • Moderate consumption of alcohol is the Biblical norm. To make a man made prohibition against it is a sin.

  • Good Vid-Ever heard of non-alcoholic wine or non-alcoholic beer – Busch NA? were so smart 2 make the ASSumption that wine promotion in the bible has alcohol added 2 it. not here to advocate against drinking or make anything illegal I want to know y cannabis (marijuana) is illegal. Y we oppress humanity from medicine that works. The bible, God, supports the herb bearing seed from Genesis. A plant that kills 0, never touched by man, purely nature – made from God.

  • Wow - grape juice and grape seed extract, talk about stretching scripture to match his preferred conclusions

  • Here are a couple more points to consider: 1- Jesus made, drank, and distributed wine. In fact, it was his FIRST miracle! John 2:1 - 11 2- Nothing that enters the mouth can defile a man. Matthew 15:11 3- Believers are not to judge one another on the basis of food, drink, or holy days. Romans 14: 1 - 22 4- God commanded the Jews to use their tithes to have a big party every year and to buy "strong drink" to take to the party. Deuteronomy 14:22-29 Why don't Christians obey their Bibles? Why?
  • Hey man DIGG, the Indians had it rite, they called booze "spirits" ha! like demon spirits, any of you dudes below...LOL..wouild .like to become possessed with a "BUD lite" or Bud Dark LOL God is a God of judgment, and says if you wait till the last minute to repent he will Mock and laugh at your calamity kind of like ...LOL DIGG??

  • Digg? Not really, because I can hardly make out what you're trying to say...

As for the content of your post that I can make sense of, it just appears to be another rant rooted in personal biases and preferences, with absolutely no scriptural basis. Thus it might as well just say, "nevermind what the Bible says, you're all wrong and going to hell because I say so!"

Sorry. It doesn't work like that.

  • I think some people have a nazerite calling.

  • If Leviticus 10 : 9-10 is an outright ban on drinking alcohol, why does it insist on specifying a certain time that it may not be consumed?

  • Oh dear, its the Baptists. They really do scare me.

I don`t have a problem with beer drinking. As long as you drink responsibility you are good to go. Heck the sin is not drinking beer or wine, but drinking to much. You know gluttony includes food and drink.

I love the anti-Catholicism coupled with false interpretations of scripture. Don`t we just love baptists!

You know Jesus drank Wine right...No its not grape juice....its Wine. Ill drink my beer, wine, tea and coffee.

  • Show me in the bible where it says that Jesus drank wine!

  • WTF is wrong with you people?

    Luke 7:33-34; Matthew 11:18-11:19; John 19: 29-30. HTH.

  • non fermented means no poison no buzz, the word oinos in greek means non fermented go study before pointing fingers, i did

  • Actually, oinos can mean fermented wine. See for example Ephesians 5:18 I would also read Deuteronomy 14:26. In that verse God expressly permits the use of "strong drink," which pretty much cancels out all of these silly word games. Then, of course, we also have the plethora of verses forbiding drinking alcohol in certain situations and contexts, which would make no sense if alcohol was altogether banned.

In other words, perhaps you should take your own advice re: studying the Bible.

  • well said, he never did drink the fermented drink, but condemed it strongly

  • Leviticus 10 : 9-10

    9. Drink no wine or strong drink, you or your sons with you, when you go into the tent of meeting, lest you die. It shall be a statute forever throughout your generations.

    10. You are to distinguish between the holy and the common, and between the unclean and the clean,

  • In New Testament times, the water was not very clean. Without modern sanitation efforts, the water was often filled with bacteria, viruses, and all kinds of contaminants. The same is true in many third-world countries today. As a result, people often drank wine (or grape juice) because it was far less likely to be contaminated.

So the wine your refering to is actually grape juice.

  • Proverbs 23:31

Look not thou upon the wine when it is red, when it giveth his colour in the cup, when it moveth itself aright.

flatpicker1234 you are wrong. As you can clearly see the Bible shows the difference between fermented wine and non-fermented wine.

  • you can believe whatever you want to the bible is quite clear. P.S. if you aren't suppose to look at the wine when it is fermented how in the world would it support drinking it? You can believe whatever you want to historically - but history does not determine right or wrong. Right or wrong is based on the Bible period. You use the term wine loosely note there is a difference between grape juice and fermented wine.

  • your deceiving yourself dude!

  • actually yes ... look up gluttonous - it has to do with simply over eating and drinking.

  • then why did jesus turn water in to wine?if its bad then why would he turn water in to wine

  • -Proverbs 31:4 -- 6

It is not for kings, O Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine; nor for princes strong drink: Lest they drink, and forget the law, and pervert the judgment of any of the afflicted. Give strong drink unto him that is ready to perish, and wine unto those that be of heavy hearts.

  • Deuteronomy 14:26 26And thou shalt bestow that money for whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatsoever thy soul desireth: and thou shalt eat there before the LORD thy God, and thou shalt rejoice, thou, and thine household,

  • out of context - read the few verses in front of this one.

this is in context with Proverbs 31:6 - be careful when you isolate verses of the Bible.

  • Great message. Amen.

  • oooooooooooo kkkkkkkkkkkk
