People always claim that Dalton and Craig is the closest to the charactor that Flemming in visioned but those who do make this claim obviously have not read the books Bond is not a dark brooding assasin. He has a style and flair to him with a sence of humor. To me Brosnan's is the closest to the Bond of the books and I cant help but feel that Flemming would have aproved of his performance.

I have to stand up for Daniel Craig and the new direction the series is taken. Brosnan was playing a dated Bond and he admittedly left because he was tired of his one-line quips. Die Another may have been the lamest Bond movie I've ever seen. On the flip side, Brosnan is an excellent actor and I admit he had some good movies. I personally liked The World is Not Enough and Tomorrow Never Dies. But I respect Casino Royale though and thought it to be the solid, interesting, and exciting.

Aside from a few physical deviations from the canon, Daniel Graig's portrayal is a brilliant and artful interpretation of the literary and original James Bond that I like most. How am I being ignorant in expressing my appreciation of the way Mr. Craig is turning the series around?

I disagree, point blank. He's returned it to realism, with a more believable plot (blissfully faithful to the Ian Fleming's novel). Gone is the CGI and near-impossible gadgets and in it's place are some great examples of fantastic acting, great stunts, and subtle, intelligent humour.
