Missingno. Zone- In a Sonic game that has levels played non-liner with a main hub. In that 'hub' there is a bug when you talk to Omichao and then ask a NPC for a mission. Then Enter lets say 'Cinnabar Triangle Zone' then you enter Missingno. Zone a glitch heaven were NOTHING MAKES SENSE!!! Something about level values and varibles or something that cuase it? Only saying.

This is genocide city zone act 3 of metropolis zone is actually genocide city zone. SEGA wanted genocide city zone to be a 1 act level but they later change it so it wud be act 3 on metropolis zone so technically u do get to play genocide city zone but it just has a diffent name.

The first act of genocide city zone eventually became metropolis zone act 3 because the graphics match, i compared it to the game. Although some of the level design is slightly different, and other than that the music from chemical plant zone. in my opinion @TJ123Hedgehog is correct.

@Jayui22 The time in Debug Mode is used to display the number of sprites on the screen, this was useful because the real Genesis could only handle up to 80, I think.

In reality, you would fall to your death, and there would be no music. That was pretty clever, usin g a save state. that way you could actually walk around and interact with objects in the level. (Instead of falling to your death at near infinite speeds... Although it's slightly amusing to see tails fall to the ground at 90mph. :D)

there was an interview posted at the sonic retro site they interviewed yoshuhara and some of the sonic team people who worked on sonic 2 and its stated on the interview that the maker of genocide city fully completed the zone and that they would feel bad about scrapping it so they turned it into act 3 of metropolis zone :) btw the zone hes on its genocide city later to be renamed MZCA3 a= act :)
