Usually, a person becomes more conservative as he or she grows older. One gives up their irresponsible behavior, not wanting other people to pay for their "mistakes" as we are doing today.
They may become more conservative on social issues but not political issues. They dont become imperialistic. They dont necessarily become racist. They dont become pro-death penalty. Last thing. We had originally planned to take our tainted American dollars to spend in Europe this summer, to go and admire the things that are at the roots of our heritage. But after reading the hateful disdain of the weak Europeans I see here, I am glad we postponed that trip. In fact, we are cancelling it. Have any of you ever really experienced a home-schooled American kid? I've met many of them. They are lightyears ahead of public school kids in thinking skills, ability, and their grasp of concepts. They also have the true capacity for critical thinking. Read "The Thought Police," by Diane Ravitch (a liberal, btw) if you really want to know why that might be. Our education system is shockingly censored and watered down. It's a wonder kids can even tie their shoes after they leave high school.

You know nothing about how public schools work. I work in them. They fail because the government runs them. Charter schools are becoming more successful, as are private schools.

Since when has the US government not protected peoples' rights? Many rights have been taken away by conservatives in the White House. Prime example; Patriot Act. Impressive in context - the context being his age and the relative lack of eloquence that most people (especially of his age) are able to command. Unimpressive however is the core message; for prepared remarks, that was rather broad and not deep. Most people can, with sufficient time and desire, craft or practice a two-minute speech rivaling this.
This being said, were Krohn a liberal I'd probably be more impressed - my bias at work. (Though the little guy would get flak either way)

You didn't hear? NY Times wrote an article about him. But what he says is less important than our reaction to what he says. Politics aside, shouldn't we be happy that the kid is engaged in civics? He's green, but deserves encouragement. That includes challenging his views.
Doesn't appear that his parents are forcing him into this. If anything, they seem embarrassed by his precociousness. It's lame that so many are attacking the kid personally, calling him a duechbag (sic) or nerd.

This kid is a type of kid that everyone in his school ahtes. He thinks he is better than everyone when really all he did was use big words and flashy hands and different voices when underneath he is really a kid that is nervous and has no friends or life

This kid is weird enough to be the child of either O'Reilly and Malkin or Limbaugh and Bachmann. (What a picture.) Whoever he is, he is weird. And his closing remark sums up the brilliance you expect from a 13 year old: conservatism is not an ideology of romanticism, it's an ideology of protecting people. Oh. OK. As a democrat I don't agree with conservative views, at least the republicans in the gov. But this kid knows what he's talking about he's intelligent, enthusiastic, and confident all the makings of a good leader. I respect him.

Usually, a person becomes more conservative as he or she grows older. One gives up their irresponsible behavior, not wanting other people to pay for their "mistakes" as we are doing today.

They may become more conservative on social issues but not political issues. They dont become imperialistic. They dont necessarily become racist. They dont become pro-death penalty. As for paying for other people's mistakes, we are paying for Bush's mistakes. The country is a huge mess. Obama has his hands full.

He is just so arrogant. If an adult made a speech like that I would be mad - he is so insulting to 'the American people' or whatever; he is insulting my intelligence. I would think any adult - professor, pundit, politician, whatever - a complete douche for talking to his or her audience like that. he gets a break because he's an intelligent child who is not able to harness his intelligence with maturity, I don't believe he is really saying anything new, just in a new, insulting way.

Apparently these days, it doesn't take much to appeal to conservative taste.
Not to mention, nearly all these principles were broken in the last administration, and conservatives supported it.

Disparage the fact that liberalism takes on many forms, as well as conservatism. Classical liberalism? Progressive? Neo-liberalism? Which one?
