@patcoolboy It's free to play online and you can play with random people or add people with friend codes. You don't go to lobbies or anything, unfortunately. It's still pretty fun though.

1&2 is still better than this in my opinion, but this has new weapon types and new enemies and stuff and it's also portable so it's still pretty good.

Yeah it's pretty fun. The US version is out in October of this year, so I wouldn't recommend importing or downloading the Japanese version.

This one. I've played the PSP version and it's pretty much just PSU ported to a handheld.

Nope, really doesn't seem like there's a lot for customization. Still... I only have Animal Crossing for my DS... and since that ship has sailed for me so long ago, I think I'll be trading it in towards PS Zero.

Been a "phan" of Phantasy Star since the original series and played PSO on Dreamcast from Ver. 1 US Launch to the Shut Down day.

I think I owe it to myself to get this game and enjoy the great story it's bound to have.

They're buyable as weapons in PSU. They aren't really anything like the MAGs in PSO though.

at first I thought that was what the comment was referring to, but I remembered that they were weird weapons that attacked at intervals.

w/e though. I'm hoping PS0 doesn't simplify the mag system too much. I'm not expect a huge database of rares and mags like in PS0, but it'd be heartbreaking if they made it a twentith of PSO's.

The mag system is pretty good in this game. You can even feed them weapons and armor. I haven't played this game in a while though since I'm waiting for an English release.

It's alright. You only get to play with 3 other people at the same time and there's no lobby so it's not really an MMORPG. It's still fun with a bunch of people though. If you've played any of the other online PS games it's a lot like those.

i think he means are they only able to use one type of weapon or can a character switch from sword to gun to dagger etc...

for example can that cast you made only use a sword or can he change to shields daggers and guns aswell

Oh in that case, yeah you can use multiple weapons for each class, just with a few restrictions...like a Hunter can use everything but wands and staffs, or a Force can use a limited selection of other weapons but is more proficient with wands or whatever.

Look at other comments...It's a anti-piracy thing. You have to use a cheat code to get it to work.

lemmie guese u have R4 rite? well u hafta update ur code.dat file thing, and when u start the game go to the code menu and the first code will be for the anti piray thing thats ur prob, jus google the code update thing

You should try using the Piracy Fix code I posted in the first comments. That's what solved any sort of freezing or white screen issues. Preferably patch it with DSATM.

that happened to me too.ok this is the easiest way to do it just search phantasy star zero fixed on google and go to the minniova link then download the torrent if you dont have the program to open up torrent just download vueza its on the same page then extract phantasy after its downloaded.i would give u the link but im doing on the wii so i cant post links sorry

lol it's no problem, but I think it's like the original PSO where the story mode is just part of the single player, as there are different quests you can play and stuff like that, instead of doing just the main quests.

Yeah, it's a copy-protection thing. You have to use a cheat code to get to play the game.

I'm not really sure how to use an R4. What I did was patched the game using DSATM. All you have to do is load the game and make a txt file with the cheat code I posted above (title and everything).

With the DSATM. You just browse to Phantasy Star Zero ROM, and you make a text file in notepad with just that one cheat in it, and browse to that where it says Cheat.txt, then hit Autopatch Game.
