  • I made this recipe and they were really out of the world amazing! However, my danish came out sticking to the parchment paper and it was incredibly difficult to peel the paper off. Anyone knows why? Thx :)

  • Laura, One sheet is enough for us for one breakfast. But I do the full recipe of cheese mix (just double what you showed) and I keep the second sheet in the fridge with the other half of the filling, and it's good a few days later with only half the work. You can also use a couple of spoons full of Ricautta in with the cream cheese in place of the sour cream, for a nice change.

    a twist to this recipe: cut the puff pastry into 16 mini squares and add a teaspoon of the cream cheese filling (minus the lemon zest) plus a teaspoon of jam!

  • Fantastic looking and smelling - have also found that they cook in way less time - of course this is dependent on your oven thermostate, but I would recommend people start checking at 15 minutes. Also, as I reported earlier, the filling was quite runny and didn't "mound" to stay put. Wonder what to do to make it less runny.

  • That puff pastry is blitz puff which they cut the lil cubes of butter mix in with flour and fold over and over it's quicker (why they call it blitz) regular puff pastry is where you actually have that super tedious process of folding butter in layers. Blitz is easier and quicker. But a lil less puffy. I wonder what pumpkin cream cheese pastry would taste like @.@

  • can you use pie crust instead of puff pastry?

  • @xkristinnee Ummm that would more like make mini pies or something...it has to be pastry dough otherwise it won't be pastry. Pie crust will not puff up like that. What causes pastry to puff is the layers of butter they steam up while baking causing little air pockets everywhere.which is why it's essential to keep it nice n cool before baking otherwise the baking process won't turn out right.

  • Just made the cheese danish. I brought them to a church party. I do have to say they were the first things gone. I did make a change tho. I cut the puff in to 4X4s and put them puff into muffin pans (easy to grab). Everyone just loved them :-) Thanks again.

  • @POSTALIFE The camera man is her husband and he loves her. It's excusable if he watches her more than the food sometimes. To write off the whole video because of one little fault you find with the filming is stupid. She's a great cook and you are going to miss out on a lot of learning.

  • i made these a couple of times now and they always turn out perfect! i added a bit of mini chocolate chips or strawberry jam on top and i adds a lot of flavour! i also made them into 8 squares so they were like tiny little mini danishes. :D

    some have a little apricot jelly on them but that varies.
