  • @Exoddusss A proxy pylon's a pylon put outside the base (closer to the enemy's base) just to warp in gateway units and have less distance to travel.

    2. shield is not damage in a conflict?

    3. faster speed makes it easier to micro.

    4. Shorter spell duration is favorable because it increases dps. Look at the fungal growth buff.

  • Feedback should require research. Toss having shields makes it better than feedback damage, especially when terrans emp themselves.

  • @addiktion13 Still, the reason he held the attacks of was becouse of the sentry block. In fact, it shuts off any early attack, which makes the game to skip to midgame, where Colossus can get out, which makes it harder. Also, the lack of an early AA is an problem for Zerg. Nerf force field and I'm happy.

  • ZvP TvP another story this Video shows some of the problems most Zerg players have to majorly deal with from a Ptoss player right now and that build is very very effective aganst zerg almost no real good way to counter it due to the fact of how fast the void rays appear on the map, and i honestly dont want to hear Ptoss players complaining about some terran ghost cause in all honesty a zerg player can complain about every units terran and ptoss have just how the game is and how the races are

  • I think zerg has very weak anti Air. Atleast early game. Hydras are good vs air. But they are really squishy vs every thing really. Not to mention the tier 3 units of Zerg. Ultralisk = awesome. but brood lord and the parasite thing.. cant even remember what it is called, are never used in pro games. That to me looks like a balance issue. But I dont know enough about the other races to judge it quiet yet.

  • @XtraXtable Hydralisks are FIRE SUPPORT/AA for the roaches, which are the tank unit for Zerg.

    FYI ....the INFESTOR is a great unit, IF the enemy has big units like battlecruisers or thors and it's fungal growth slows units.

    The broodlord is also REALLY strong, once used in conjunction with an ARMY, it's a support unit used as flying artillery. Please don't judge what you don't understand.

  • All IdrA had to do was throw down a friggin EVO chamber(which takes like no time at all) then throw up a couple damn spore crawlers.... end of story. Trying to get mass queen is USELESS because phoenix are pumped vs queen.

  • I think Idra actually DID counter the build Ace went, his only mistake was trying to go for the expo. He should have just sniped the main as soon as he got in at 5:30, then retreated with his army while making a bunch of queens to hit the void rays that were following his army until he could get out hydras. It was just unfortunate that he lost all those roaches and lings for nothing against the first void ray.

  • Idra should have thrown down spore crawlers right when he saw those void rays. What the heck was he thinking.

  • @Zony1 Code A has become super competitive and I won't be surprised to see many Code S players witching spots with Code A'ers in the upcoming up/down matches. Many SC1 B-Teamers are switching to SC2 and the BETA'ers / War3'ers who got COde S in open season will soon be outclassed.

  • God, protoss pisses me off 100x more then terran. Im zerg and, I know that reapers are OP over zerg ground, and that bio ball is so easy to make and is also so powerfull, but toss? God damn. Zeal rush is really hard to deal with, voids are really hard to deal with, and unless you tech air, your fucked against colossus, because zerg is all about numbers. Its just terrible how much a zerg player has to outplay the other races.

    Ghost = 100 min , 200 gas , EMP cost 75 mana -> 100 damage to shields(only shields) and reduces mana of enemies to 0 I've NEVER seen emp win a pro game. I have however seen high templar spammed and win the game for the toss when they are down like 60 supply. I've also never ever heard any pro complain about the current emp especially not high level toss. Ghost are not spammed so you guys are crazy.

  • @masterscheme1 First of all, do u actually play protoss ? Cause im a random player. There is a few thing about ghost that i think it is a bit tough for protoss to deal with. (no one rush ghost against a toss, this is suicidal)

    1. ghost's emp does not require a research while psi storm does.

    2. ghost is much faster

    3. ghost has a natural attacking ability , unlike HT ( u can combine 2 of them into archon but marauder kite them so bad )

    4. ghost has other ability like cloak and snipe

  • @atrisX Yes, ghost are very good against high temps and and protoss in general, but not that good...

    1. You can't kill a unit with EMP, you can with psi storm

    2. You can warp in HT-s anywhere, ghosts have to run from the base

    3. Archons have a natural attacking ability, but yeah... every unit has a counter.

    4. HT has feedback

  • @SimpsonEE You really aren't putting this in perspective.

    1. High templars are a tier 3 unit, ghosts are tier 2. Obviously one would assume that the tier 3 unit would be better.

    2.High templars will face much larger armies than ghosts with more robust units, and the higher you go the less likely psi storm will be effective.

    3.Also with a nuke a ghost can do far far more than any ONE high Templar's damage.

    If you eally analyze ghosts are not better or worse they are different.

    1. AOE attack

    2. Greater Range

    3. Ghosts are faster than HT

    Feedback can't compare with EMP

    ht's can warp in anywhere, but they are much slower making them extremely diffucult to use

    ghost can attack and do plenty of damage as part of your army, while ht's must warp into archons

    feedback only works on units with energy, and only one at atime, while emp works on all toss units

    and psi storms can easily be dodged. not to mention ghosts have cloak and assasinate. did you forget those?

Also emp not only does shields but energy making it FAR better

  • @Lucky466 ive seen replays where a group of infestors dodge 6 emp in a row dont give me that "you cant see it coming" crap and no it doesnt have a larger area of effect, storms do damage outside the cirlcle that pops up when youre casting you fucking idiot, and no emp does not do more damage if you forcrefeild and use a storm you can kill every marine in a terran army. ive seen proffestional gamers do that exact same thing. And emp only does more damage than storm TO MASSIVE UNITS

  • @Lucky466 i dont know what made you think that emp has a bigger area of effect but it doesnt, terran armies dont clump as much as toss and you can fully engulf them with 2 storm, then when they run out, two more storm. ive seen professional games where entire armies are killed with chainstorms. you can not do permanent damage with emp, and many protoss units, such as stalkers, can simply run away and let their sheilds regenerate, in fact thats what professional gamers do they just back off

  • @Linkfanoftheyear wow dude. not only are you wrong AGAIN, as emp does have a larger aoe (Please look up your numbers), but toss armies dont really clump up any more than terran armies. in fact terran clump up the most (marines) next to a zerg who masses lings. and also, EMP is INSANT, so with one, two shots the entire army is at half health and 0 energy, unlike P needing about 4 storms to get the damage of one concentrated storm. dont bother replying to this as i see ur making up half ur "facts"

  • @Lucky466 the range on the casting icon is smaller but its effect has a larger radius play the game and youll see that dont bs me about how the radiuses are 1.5 and 2. and emp is instant yes but it does NO PERMANENT DAMMAGE i cant stack emp and kill an entire army but all you have to do is have storm last 2 seconds on a marine ball. 2 ingame seconds, 4 ff and one storm can kill every marine in a terran army. and btw the fact that terran clumps up more HELPS MY ARGUMENT

    and well, if im not 100% wrong feedback can 1shot medivacs, ravens and deal nice damage against BCs (which no one ever uses) and storms force the enemy to move or studderstep atleast = there´s not so much damage incoming and well emps are very nice but still not required against toss, mainly due to marauders fucking up gateway units

  • @olentattimies emp is actually mostly requires. if your at army disadvanatage you can cut the shields of whole toss army and all you have to do is attack half of time as you would do with shielded toss making ti extremely easy

    1. You can't kill with EMP, only take half of an entire group of unit's health! Oh let's not forget the natural Ghosts attack +Snipe, those don't do real damage i guess? Oh wait.

    2. You can't warp in HT's 'anywhere', only where there are pylons placed, ie generally the protoss BASE !?! Or at proxy pylons if you are dumb enough to let a toss put them everywhere.

    3. Archons are made by combining 2 DTs or 2 HTs, both VERY expensive units.

  • @atrisX EMP does damage only to shields. Most toss units don't have that many shields and toss has bigger units and fewer of them, which makes AOE less usefull against toss. Not only that, but a toss can one shot ghosts with feedback (and ravens and medivacs, and a lot of dmg to bc's) HT's come in ALOT faster that ghosts, and one storm on top of a bunch of rines is alot harder to deal with that an emp which barely takes out 30% of the durability of maybe half the army.

Second, i said many times...ghost's cast range >>>> HT's cast range.. how can a HT possibly FB a ghost if the terran do not make a mistake. Third, one ghost can disable many HTs ( yea i can split the HTs, as well u can split your emps ). Fourth, how can HT come in faster than ghost, this is so wrong, HT is a T3 unit and u need to at least to get the psi-storm upgrade to make it useful.

  • @atrisX First of all, if you want to counter ghost with HT, you use feedback not psi storm, which doesn't need research. If you don't see how the HT will be more numerous that ghosts, go watch any sc2 game with ghosts and ht's in it. And if one ghost has enough energy for more than 1 EMP, its because he scouted you out a while ago, built the ghosts a while ago, and now is sitting and waiting, which is your fault.

    if u ever FB ghosts with HT, your oppoent is not a very good T. Why? the range of EMP is 9 compare to FB's 6 or so (not to mention its AoE while u need to target individual unit with FB) , if a terran let a HT to FB his ghost before he can cast his EMP (in which the HT need to walk a range of 3 with its slow as hell speed and HT can not be cloaked) ,he needs more practice.

And marines are easily the most cost-efficient T1 units, HT is T3 and they are suppose to counter rines. i dont care ghost takes out 30% of my army, its the energy that i need to survive. 2 emps, 30% shield and energy gone, back off and wait for shield regneration?? no, because no FF to prevent an MMM-ball to stim, a-move and kill my army
