I haven't heard anything about what Florida is going to do. Disneyland on the other hand has been doing this since the 60s with their Grad Nights. I'm expecting special lighting, DJs and dancing, parades, shows, characters, etc.

But the best part is the special food being offered until the wee hours. AND at Big Thunder Ranch there will be free midnight snacks and other suprises.

@Lightning2659 I talked to Guest services about the entertainment, and its just extended magic hours, the fireworks and parades are at the usual time at night like 9 and 10 but for like 1 am to 6 am there is no "entertainment"

Smelling fudge on Mainstreet, hearing children and adults laughing, seeing beautiful colors all around you from plants to buildings, tasting mickey shaped ice cream as you stand in aw of the castle , and feeling like a kid again. @TheFutureflyer If you stay in one of the Value resorts - I highly recommend Pop Century - you could do, say, a 5-day, 5-night stay (4 full days, plus a half-day on either end) for one person, for a pretty affordable rate. Go during the Value season (January, February, some of March) ... even in FL the average temperature is 60+ during those months.

The old song "Disneyland" perfectly describes how I feel about the Disney Parks; you can tell me all the major landmarks are fiberglass and painted scenery, point out the wire that guides Tinkerbell during the fireworks show, and the rides are cheap cash-ins to promote American consumerism; I will still see nothing but pure and innocent Disney magic! A visit to any of the Disney Parks is the perfect anti-depressant; you instantly feel happier, more alive, and there are no suicidal side effects.

This idea is...nice. But that's about it. They've had much better promos that lasted the entire year. Year Of A Million Dreams was cool because they gave away a lot of stuff daily. Getting in free on your birthday was another good campaign. This one lasts only a few months.

As for being open 24 hours, Walt started Grad Nights at Disneyland back in 1961 where the park is open till 6am, just like this Leap Day special. In 1987 it was open for 60 straight hours for the new Star Tours ride.

@xiber88 Nope just Magic Kingdom. Not going to lie, it may be tough to not get too bored but I think if shows and characters are out in full effect for the overnight it won't be too bad if you plan to do the full 24 hour marathon.
