Peter said that there were things "difficult" to understand. Piper's antinomy laden theology insists that there are things "impossible" to understand. Among them, how God can savingly atone for the sins of elect only yet sincerely offer salvation to all. Piper is at odds with Peter because he holds to a Fullerite / Amyraldian / Hypothetical Universalist view of the atonement that both Peter and Paul rejected.

NO!, because the only way the bible can make any sense at all, is to switch off all your reasoning faculties, put your mind in neutral and just read.
If you come across anything that doesn't seem right, and there's lots of them, just use extreme mental gymnastics to interpret and re-interpret it until it means what you want it to mean.
Alternatively, just assume god doesn't exist and everything in the bible suddenly makes sense.
@UrukEngineer You really think all of this is coincidence? Even we as christians reading the bible can be confused, but we make an effort to understand. Try not to be put off so easily.
Coincidence is another word for chance, and chance is the central core in The Theory of Evolution.
So its a matter of definition of the word ¨Life¨, but to be more exact; How the world looks and act.
The probability of such a thing would be so small it would not be considered a option, even if Evolution Theory was true. But thats not really the issue is it? Even if Evolution was true, The No-God view is still cornered, they have no answers for causality.
@UrukEngineer Either you've admitted atheism is a religion; thereby deifying nature; or you don't know what coincidence means. The only way you could possibly be more guilty of "doing it wrong" is if you were looking UP your nose at ben during the 4 hour edit, and re-edit of you trying to sound smart :D
@ZomBradical "Either you've admitted atheism is a religion; thereby deifying nature; or you don't know what coincidence means". I really don't see how you can make that statement. Care to elaborate?
According to the video there are parts of the Bible which require complex answers, yet we are encouraged to accept the complexities by finding clarity on some other passages.
I disagree. The message should be consistent.
Is God consistent? Is God all-loving?
Leviticus 24:10-23, Deuteronomy 13:1-18, Deut 21:18-21, Deut 17:2-7, Leviticus 25:44-46, Matthew 5:17-19, 1Kings 22:13-23, Joshua 8:1-29 , Genesis 7:17-23, 2 Samuel 12:11-24, Jeremiah 25:4-14, Jer 12:7-13, Lamentations 4:2-13

@zestydude87 No, Why should I? if christians feel free to peddle their superstitious nonsense, in public, then they should expect to be challenged.
I'm only giving an answer to the questions from a different viewpoint.

@benhoward1 Ben, when you say "all of this" do you mean *life*?
If so, life is not coincidence; it has evolved through natural selection.
Your confusion is understandable. The bible contradicts itself and the actual, real-world, verifiable evidence.
Try not to switch off your analytical faculties so easily.

@Inmatinus "All it takes is to take action for the greater good no matter the horrific actions you think you must take to do so." Who created god?
If you think god just "is", why do you find it hard to accept that the universe just "is"?
