cant beat the v8, tdi farmer power good for pulling and water, but the power comes in big lumps then it's gone, v8's love to rev, beat the dweezels hands down anytime, anywhere. drive tdi to work, get the v8 out for the serious stuff!

water is the main issue with petrols and the torque is higher up rpm range, a tuned tdi can stomp on many a v8.

I know I should be saying tdi but the v8 sound puts a smile on a persons face like no other engine can, and for that reason if I had a choice I'd have to go with the v8. :)

The comparison is similar to comparing most of you-prancing around shopping mall vs out on the trail wheeling. benefits of the TDI vs V8 is long and endless. Torque of the TDI-eventually youll need it, plus with the TDI no ECU, & no distributor to get wet and leave you stranded.V8 has nothing on the TDI Whats actually incredible about the TDI its a mechanical diesel-just need 1 wire hooked up to get you home...fuel pump...V8 needs a tow truck and the OBD scanner.

that v8 didnt look to have alot of power, normally on v8's the body rocks a bit at least, but diesels sound like a long wet fart..

Just been checking AWDC the pressures on my new motor was dressed with a number 6 following 2005 season and number 9 in 2006 finished 1st in class both seasons, rebuilt in 2006 and messed about with at alli-sport, looks like I won't do the car any justice!!!

My generator sounds a bit like that burgundy 90, the geny is a bit more compact though, does it have electric start or do you pull a cord???
