@1987host I'm not sure that I understand your question. The rangefinder uses infrared light to determine the distance to an obstacle. It sends the information to the controller by a voltage signal (the yellow wire).
Try to clarify your question and I'll do my best to answer it.
I can but I do not think that you'll be happy with the results. It wasn't designed very well. This was my first venture into robot design. I think the relays were drawing too much current.
But if you really would like to know drop me a message and I'll do the best that I can at explaining it.

you can use a wheel or two instead of the rod u are using for support ? it will reduce friction and it will run fast.
