I have a 12kw with the same engine. Be sure to load it up good or you will wet stack the engine. Diesels need load. I load mine up 25 amps each side of the phase. Or 50 amps at 240 volt. I use a set of electric heaters to balance the load. My home draws on the average of 3 to 12 amps. So I load it a bit to compensate.
Nice unit, I got a single cylinder china set before these came out, learned alot about the ST heads and power stability, if you have issues and need any info.
I used my gen for the first time on Hurricane iRENE
nO PROBLEMS IT FIRED RIGHT UP
I GAVE POWER TO THE HOUSE NEXT DOOR WITH A KID ON LIF SUPPORT AND IT WAS JUST FINE.The ST head is perfect for regulated voltage and power I love it

So are china gensets reliable? How many hours you got on yours?
I can get them really cheap where I am. But I don't trust Chinese products, specially if they got moving parts.
I'm thinking about a Cummins India 17KVA
