Except for "Perfect", they are all power ballads. Like any aspiring singers growing up, you'll have your influences and Whitney and Streisand were two. You can only do vocal acrobatics if you have the talent and Regine is gifted to exceed Whitney in that aspect of singing. Regine does shift a soul tune to more ballad like as you would expect a soul singer to do the same. I hear plenty of emotions in her singing here and in her native songs eventhought I don't understand Tagalog.

Anyways, the riffs she tries to do, the vocal acrobatics, all sound like stuff whitney did in her early days, mariah's trademark material. I don't get it, what's so wrong about singing other people's songs? Regine sings other songs because she likes them and appreciates them. She doesn't care about stealing or copying someone else's identity. She already has one as she's got a ton of her own songs and has her own style. Some people are just too insecure that's why they get offended when Regine does her own version of other songs.
