This is papermill. It's chopped up beginning from 2:23. Madlib not only chopped it but he changed the pitch and speed. It sounds like he patch sampled it a bit. But yes... this is papermill. Just open y'all ears to those who say it isn't. The sample is not at the beginning of this song.

papermill is def a product of this... i dont think some of you realize that madlib is famous for a reason. he has skills beyond yours or my understanding. just because YOU cant hear the sample doesnt mean its not there. sounds have been so warped and processed that the average listener wouldnt detect an exact translation of the original sample

@megadeus Madlib isn't the type to "warp and process" his samples all that much. Often, he doesn't change them at all, other times, he just loops sections. It would take some DRASTIC processing to turn this into the sample he used for Papermill. Could be another of this guy's songs...but not this one.

ich finde er klingt wie mit leib und seele dabei. es ist ein traumhaft gutes lied, wobei er sich komplett auf hochdeutsch konzentriert. er singt es klar und deutlich, was die deutsche sprache nicht mehr so hart wirken lässt. es "swingt" mit der melodie, das macht es so einzigartig.

bei allem nötigem respekt, aber die deutsche musik von heute kann man ja eigentlich schon in der pfeife rauchen. das ist alles zu künstlich. der man erlebt mit seiner musik denke ich mal seine eigene freiheit.
